It had been over a year since we had stopped Deceit, and so much had changed since then. We had all been through so much, including Thomas. However, we were all still each other, despite everything that we had been through.

It had taken only a few days after we had gotten back from the edge of the Mind Space when Logan and Patton told Roman and I that they had been secretly dating for almost a year and a half now. Roman and I told them that we already knew, but we were glad that they were together. They were honestly adorable.

While it may not seem like much of a shock, Logan and Patton weren't the only couples in the Mind Space. It had taken a while for things to unfold for Roman and I. Okay, more like about half an hour after Roman had confessed to me. But we were now officially together as well.

Ever since we got back, everything had been perfect in the Light Realm, and it still was. In the Dark Realm, well, things were the same as they always had been. Deceit with his snakes and Remus with his... I'd rather not think about that.

As much as I dreaded seeing the two of them, Remus and Deceit would occasionally visit the Light Realm. Heck, it was quite a shock for Thomas when he first met Remus last year. Deceit had stayed pretty quiet since our battle, but I knew that would change eventually. Deceit tended to disappear for a while before reappearing with a new scheme even more horrible than the last. Or maybe Roman was right. Maybe Deceit could become a Light Side someday.

In the end, our lives were practically perfect besides the occasional problem here and there. We were all family, though, and we were all there for each other.

As Patton had promised me when we had brought Roman home, we would now have a family movie night every Friday evening. So far, we had done it almost every time. Patton did get sick awhile back, so we had to skip a week. He ended up being okay, though.

It took Patton and Logan a lot of convincing to play one movie in particular. Roman and I had made them sit through this one at least once a month. Tonight we were watching my favorite, of course—Alice in Wonderland.

"Aw, sweetie! This brings back memories," Roman exclaimed as I showed him the movie.

"It definitely does," I said, trying to hide my blush. "So much has happened since then."

"Sure has," my boyfriend smiled, fluffing up my hair.

I slapped at him playfully while giggling softly.

So much for the concealer that I put on earlier. Nothing is hiding this.

"No Doritos for you, Roman," Logan ordered, pointing at the bag of chips in my boyfriend's hands.

I snorted as I watched the two argue over the movie snacks. This would happen every Friday. Actually, every day now that I thought about it,
The logical trait snatched the bag and went to the kitchen to put them back.

"Logan, give me the fucking Doritos!" Roman screeched as he chased the logical trait around the house.

"No, these are unhealthy. Virgil, please help me out here."

"Hell no. Give us the goddamn Doritos."

I ran after the two of them while laughing.

I loved these moments that we had together. They made us feel more like the family that I wished that I could have when I was younger. I had never gotten this feeling in my chest until I came here. It was a feeling of joy. A feeling of happiness.

"No curse words!" Patton cried as he ran after us as well.

Patton really did seem like the dad in our family. I guess that meant that Logan was our mom. Wait. Did that make Roman and I brothers? I don't want to think about that... ever.

"Patton, you are such a dad," I said once we had all agreed to eat the chips.

"I guess that I kinda am your dad," Patton said with a calm smile.

"You are my dad!" Roman yelled, scaring Patton, Logan, and I.

My face lit up as we both sang the vine together.

"You're my dad! Boogie-woogie!"

"I'm just going to pretend that did not just happen," Logan groaned, returning to reading his book.

We all laughed and made our way back to the living room. The four of us clambered onto the couch and sat in our spots. Patton and Logan next to each other, and Roman and I curled up together in the corner.

"I love you, Ro," I said, giving Roman a quick peck on the cheek.

The prince's face turned bright red, making me laugh.

"Grab a blanket, you two," Patton whispered as Logan turned on the movie. "The heater broke earlier, and I forgot to tell you to stay cozy."

"We gotta get a blanket, Roman," I said.

"No," He whined. "The only blanket that I wanna sleep with is you."

God, he's so tired. He would never say this to me if he wasn't.

I looked down at him with a quizzical look. "Roman, that sounds really weird and creepy."

"It shouldn't be creepy if it's true!" He shouted as he snuggled up next to me.

I felt my own face heat up as I smiled down at my sleepy boyfriend. "That's why I love you, Ro."

I sighed and leaned back on the couch. I watched Roman's eyes begin to close, causing a grin to spread across my face. My own eyes flickered over to Patton and Logan, who were snuggled up together in a fuzzy, grey blanket.

The four of us were finally all together again. My wish had come true. It was moments like this that made me remember just how much we'd been through in the past year.

They were my family, and I wouldn't want anyone else.
