"What are you doing—" Ming was quick to turn around. Meeting eyes with the man who was trailing behind her where she stood in the doorway of her apartment. And the man who couldn't help but smirk from her action.

"Oh come on, kitten. . . the least you could do is let me in." Yoongi pushed the door back. Making her yell his name ever so playfully as she rolled her eyes with a huffed don't touch anything. Having allowed for him to step inside in which he let his eyes run up and down the space of her apartment. Her apartment that he noticed was so small. . . yet so welcoming.

"I'll be back." Yoongi watched as she turned to look at him. All while switching on the little lamp lingering on the table next to the couch.

And with a wink, the man nodded. Earning yet another roll of the eyes from the girl who let the door of her room close shut behind her as Yoongi continued to study the room around him. All until his eyes landed on a picture lingering on the table where the lamp stayed.

"You want anything to drink?" It was her voice that took away his attention from the photo. And Ming could see the sudden wavering of his gaze as he cleared his throat with a raspy no. All while traveling his eyes down the girls frame that was no longer attired in barely any clothing, yet was fully covered by an oversized tee and sweats.

"Is there something wrong?" He could hear the irritation in her voice as she glared at the man. Having taken a seat on the couch only to watch Yoongi laugh underneath his breath.

"I was expecting you to come back in something more like lingerie—"

"Oh shut up." Ming couldn't help but cut him off. Even if Yoongi could see how hard she was trying to hold back her own laughter as the man moved to sit beside where she sat on the couch. Taking in the way the girl looked at him with such irritation in her gaze. Yet it was all so forced. So, so forced.

"You could've at least kept off the pants—"

"Yoongi." With a sigh, Ming shook her head. Meeting the man's eyes that glistened as she did so. "I work for you. . . don't you remember—"

"And if you didn't?" Ming could feel the sudden change of tension. Yet the subtle caution it withheld as she kept her eyes locked on his own. Not daring to let her gaze falter.

"Don't you have a girlfriend—"

"I did."  Ming knew he wasn't referring to Miso. And just like that, her curiosity was peaked. Because the man was so mysterious to her. Not having cracked any prior knowledge about him or his past.

"What happened to her then?" Ming pushed. Wanting to intimidate him. Even if the man never gave her that sense of satisfaction. Because Yoongi was too arrogant to ever do so.

"We broke up—"

"Why—"

"Because I was selfish." His voice was so deep. Having caused the heaviness of his gaze to pierce even further into her own as Ming's eyes rounded ever so softly. Even if she didn't notice. She never did.

"Selfish how?" Yoongi could see the evolving curiosity occurring in her eyes. Because he was making her feel as though he was letting her in. Was making her feel as though she was gaining an inch on him.

And Ming watched as he laughed underneath his breath. Running the slimness of his fingers along the paleness of his chin as he flickered his gaze back over to the picture lingering on the table behind her. The same picture that was of her in the park, completely off guard.

"Something happened that I couldn't handle and so I left her. . . even if I knew I should've stayed." Ming could see the subtle heaving of his chest. All while the man cleared his throat with yet another laugh. Trying to ignore the sudden feeling of tears in his eyes as the girl kept silent. Knowing that somehow she had hit a nerve.

"Is that why you do the things you do? To distract yourself?" Ming met his eyes. Her own softer than she would've ever liked them to be towards the man. Yet she couldn't help it. Couldn't help but feel sorry for him.

However, Yoongi didn't answer. Having let the sudden silence engulf the air at which they breathed.

"Yoongi." He could've sworn his name had never sounded so soft before as Ming spoke it with such caution present in her tone. Noticing just how small the distance between them was getting. All while the tension thickened up with each second passing by.

And with a head tilt, the man let his hand run up her thighs. Causing the girl to instantly take hold of his wrist as the tension did nothing more than increase. Yet Yoongi didn't stop. Didn't stop himself from leaning in. And didn't stop himself from taking hold of her jaw the second his name left her lips all over again.

"She'll never know—"

"Yoongi, stop." He knew she wouldn't hurt her. Knew she wouldn't allow herself to let him touch her the same way he used to. But Ming herself couldn't deny the amount of sudden want coursing through  her veins. Having never thought that a man could look at her with such desperation in their eyes as he flashed through her mind. It being the man who was nothing more than a person she'd hook up with every now and then. Because Jimin didn't come with strings attached. And he never would.

"Why are you afraid of her, huh. . . she's nobody." Yoongi could feel the way she went stiff. Having never been the one to let a person talk about someone she cared for, so disrespectfully before. Yet Ming wasn't worried about that. Too distracted by the sudden feeling of his lips against her neck as she threaded a hand through his hair. Trying to pull the man away from the one spot that had her chest heaving as his hands became a little more greedier. Wanting to have her all to himself.

And with a grunt, the man met her eyes. Having pulled away just enough to catch the curiosity in her gaze as the heaviness of his hand ran up her jaw. All while the sudden feeling of tears brimmed her own eyes. Because something was off. So, so off.

"Don't look at me like that." His words were so broken. Matching the quivering of his lips that just barely grazed against her own as the softness  of her hands took hold of his face. His face that could barely even remember the way they used to feel.

And just like that, the aura went stiff. Allowing for Ming's tears to fall. And Yoongi's stomach to drop. Because next was the calling of his name. The same calling of his name that let him know that she knew. Knew she was the girl he had left all those years ago.

"Yoongi."
