The tension between Mariah and Michael had been building up for some reason. Mariah was always in a bad mood for some reason whether she was angry or crying and Michael was annoyed with her constant mood swings.

Like the past few weeks, Mariah was once again crying for no apparent reason. "Do you wanna talk about it?" Michael asked her, trying to be as nice as he could.

She suddenly broke into an ugly cry. "No I don't wanna talk about it!" She yelled at him and continued to sob with her head down on the dining room table in her bath robe.

Michael didn't want to start an argument so he just walked away and sat down on the couch as he listened to her loud sobs. What is her problem? He thought to himself.

Mariah stopped crying and got up and went upstairs to they're bedroom. "She's really gone crazy." Michael mumbled to himself.

Michael was looking forward to Janet coming over later today hoping maybe she could get through to Mariah and see what was up with her. She was supposed to be there in about 10 minutes so he was ready to tell her everything.

After waiting a lot longer then he expected, Janet had finally arrived. "Hey big brother!" Janet yelled excitedly and pulled him in for a bear hug. "How have you been?" She asked him.

He sighed. "Not very good, Mariah's been acting absolutely insane, she's always either sleeping, crying, or screaming at me."

Janet's happy expression immediately turned serious. "Have you tried talking to her?"

He nodded. "I've tried everything but it's like she all of a sudden hates my guts, which is weird because she used to be such an angel." Michael explained.

"Are y'all still having sex?" Janet asked.

"Janet!" Michael scolded. "I'm a gentlemen you can't embarrass me like that!"

Janet rolled her eyes. "Just answer the question, Mike."

"Fine, we haven't done anything in 3 weeks." Michael replied.

Janet nodded and sequined her eyes, "So y'all have had sex before?"

"Yes..." Michael awkwardly replied.

"Well I don't know, Mike... Maybe when she sees you she just gets pissed off. Has she said anything about not wanting to marry you?" Janet asked.

"No, nothing like that but sometimes she tells me that she wishes she never met me or that she hopes I fall into a black hole and die." Michael replied.

Janet chuckled softly until she noticed Michael was eyeing her. "That's even worse, Michael you must've done something to piss her off... when did this start?" Janet questioned.

"Well we were tasting cakes for our wedding and I said I didn't like one and she just flipped out on me, she stormed out of the building and then threatened to murder me!" Michael explained, over exaggerating the story a bit.

Janet's eyes widened. "Well shit I can't help you cause I'm not trying to die but try talking to her again, maybe it's not something your doing maybe it's something your not doing."

"Thanks for the advice, Jan." He replied.

Mariah sat down on the toilet seat as her legs trembled. She held the cheap drug store pregnancy test in her hands as she looked around waiting for the test to show its results.

Though she hadn't experienced any morning sickness, she knew it wasn't out of the question since her and Michael had been continuously having unprotected sex. God please don't let this baby, I'm not ready for anything like this. She prayed as she waited.

After a few minutes she turned over the pregnancy test. 2 Lines? What does that mean She thought to herself as she picked up the box and read it over.

She put her hand over her mouth in shock as she read the box over and over again hoping it would say something different, she even kept fidgeting with the pregnancy test hoping the results would change but they didn't. Once she realized nothing was going to change she screamed as loudly as she possibly could and starting crying like she had been doing the past few weeks.

I'm pregnant.
