I walk in and close the door behind me. The morning light is seeping through the window, and I see Jason lying there in bed. My heart shatters, and I hold back a gasp. He's in one piece. I sit down next to him and take his hand. Like the intern said, Jason is unconscious. But, at least he's not on a ventilator, which is a relief. As for his face, he's bettered and bruised and is pretty swollen and has a black eye. His nose looks broken, and his lip is spilt. My god, Jason! I squeeze his hand tight and bring it to my forehead. Tears run down my cheeks. I can't help but feel emotional right now. When I think that he had it all. He was such a cutie as a child, so full of life. A real angel face that made any mother or grandmother melt. I'm so mad! What on earth happened? Why, Jason? What did you get yourself into this time? Physically, my brother and I look a lot alike, our hair and our eyes are the same color. As the for the rest. My cell phone ringing interrupts my thoughts. I let out a string of profanities while digging nervously through my bag and walk away slightly. If someone catches me on the phone in hospital, they won't like it. I quickly go out into the hallway to take the call and lean against the wall.

> Hello?

I whisper while keeping an eye out to not get caught by hospital staff.

Lisa > Lucille? It's Lisa, are you ok?

> Lisa? I can't...

Lisa > I know, Matt told me, I just wanted to check up on you.

Lisa is a colleague, but also a real friend! She's a female version of Matt. She also works at Carter Corp as a receptionist. She's a real knockout, and the best friend ever. She's always been there for me whether to listen to me talk, cry, laugh or just to have fun together. She makes me laugh a lot, especially when she tells me about her romantic woes. Poor thing. She may be as stunning on the outside as she is inside, it doesn't stop her from ending up with weirdoes all the time. Lisa is a femme fatale, a stunner on legs. She could have any man she wanted, grovelling at her feet. But always falls for the wrong type of guy, she's not complaining though, for now she's just having fun.

> Everything's fine Lisa, thank you for calling.

Lisa > How is your brother, what happened to him?

> He's fine Lisa, don't worry. I'll see you back at the office, ok?

Lisa > What do you mean, don't worry? My friend's brother is in the hospital, but there's no need to worry?

I pinch the bridge of my nose. Lisa is lovely, but I doubt that talking about my brother's state is such a good idea.

> He's unconscious for now, must have had a bad fall or something.

Lisa > A bad fall? You're kidding?

> Okay, you're right. I have no idea what happened. But Lisa?

Lisa > Yes?

> I'm going to stay here a bit with him, I just want to make sure he's okay, you know. Can you tell Matt?

Lisa > Of course.

> I'm going to have to find an excuse for Gabriel, for when I get back to the office.

Lisa > Don't worry, we'll work something out! Take care of yourself, okay, and let us know.

> Absolutely! Thanks again for calling.

I hang up, pensive. Come on, I mustn't think about it! Come what may! I fling the phone into my bad and head back to my brother's room. When I open the door, I am pleasantly surprised to see him turn his head towards me.
