Emily is running as far away as she can from the hospital. She knew that if she heard any worse news it would be the death of her.

She finds a tree by the creek probably a mile or so away from the hospital and climbs up and sits on a branch. Emily leans back and shuts her eyes.

Meow Pugh:
Emily where are you???

Meow Pugh:
Emily please answer where did you go!

Rosey:
Emily please answer us we are scared.

Emily looked up from her phone at the messages. She realized she ran without telling anyone.

Alex and Kelley sent them to go look for Emily

"Where could she have gone?" Asked Mal in that sad little kid voice.

"I dont know Mal, she sometimes gets lost in her own head. She probably thinks its her fault, like what happened with her si-. never mind." Rose said quietly while starting the car

"What do you mean her sister" Mal asked

"Something sad. When she's ready to tell you, she will. But dont ask about it."

"okay sorry for bringing it up again"

"Its ok now lets go find Sonnett"

Rose and Mal drive up the street

Mal yells for rose to stop the car to make sure she's not on the bridge

They get out and check. No sign of emily, thank god.

They get back in and drive down the road

They stop at the creek to check along the tree line

"I see her" Whispered Mal

"She's sleeping" said rose

"maybe we could slowly get her down without waking her"

"grab her feet Mal"

"Ok and you grab her hands"

They slowly got Emily down without waking her and laid her down in the back seat

"Thank god we found her" Mal said

"Yea with your good young eyes" Rose joked

Just then they heard Emily let out a whimper

"Is she ok?" Asked Mal

"I think so..." Rose trailed off checking her rear view mirror to check on Emily

Just then Emily starts to grab her head and yell

"Please, Please, Please!!!" Yelled Emily

"Rose stop the car!" Mal yelled

Rose put it in park as they watch with horrified looks on their faces

Emily was having an episode.

After they got Emily into a hospital bed Kelley took Mal by the hand to lead her outside

"Mal we need to talk, and I trust you" Kelley says quietly

"Whats wrong Kelley?"

"Its about Emily"

"Oh."

"So Emily has a sister named Emma, her twin actually, and when they were growing up, emily was about 14, they were home alone one night." Kelley trails off

Mal could see the tears in her eyes

"...And, well, oh god how do i start. Emily and Emma were watching a movie together and Emma heard a knock on the door, she got up to get it. But Emily checked her phone thinking who in the world would need Emma at 11 pm. Emily recalls hearing screams. The screams were, were then muf-muffled by s-someone." Kelley says shaking

"Kelley I-"

"Let me finish Mal" Kelley says quietly

Mal  nods her head in an understanding motion

"Emily then got up to see her sister being beat by something metal and she was thrown into the back of a van. Emily tried to run after it, she ran miles to try to find her sister, until she gave up and dropped in the middle of the road. The next day she woke up in the hospital with her parents beside her crying. She never really understood how her parents knew but she knows it was probably a paramedic who got her to tell them everything and why she was out in the middle of the road so late. She told her parents she didnt even see it coming and she wished she could have done something."

Kelley pauses to take a breath, but continues shortly after

Mal stays quiet, tears flooding her eyes

"They we're looking all over town and the state for her sister. after two months of looking they lost hope. 3 days later, Emma was turned up to their door, bruises, puncture wounds and barely any muscle left on her. she had been starved, beaten, and abused for 2 months. They rushed her sister to the hospital, they ran scans, she was pretty much brain dead. It wasnt the same Emma anymore. Emily's beloved twin was gone and Emily says its all her fault. She wished she would have ran faster and not given up. She blames herself for everything. Thats why she hates hospitals. Lindsey is like the second best thing that has ever happened to her. And seeing her in a similar situation to Emma made Emily feel like it was all her fault yet again. Lindsey, myself, and only the team know, now you. So dont go saying stuff. I dont want to say this but, we sadly lost Emma last year to all the tragedies years prior. Its been hard on Emily. The anniversary is next week. Keep an eye out on her for me please. As i will do the same."

Kelley takes a deep breath in as she looks at Mal, who's eyes are red and cheeks are being silently flooded with tears.

Kelley pulls mal in for a hug.

Mal cries silently into kelley

Kelley checks her phone

2:00 am                 5%

"Mal we have to head back" Kelley says quietly

Mal nods silently and still is gripping onto kelley

When they walk in the team turns their heads but quickly looking away knowing that kelley had given her the harsh talk.

Kelley leads mal to the couch and Kelley sits down dragging mal with her.

Mal buries her head in Kelleys shoulder and starts crying again

Kelley feels that Mal slowly falls asleep and doesnt dare to move.

All Mal needed was some comfort right now.
