Its now 8am on the same day
everyone needed to check on Lindsey
One by one they got up, she still wasnt awake. The doctors decided they needed to have a word with everyone addressing the situation.
"Ladies, your friend is in a coma, and i know we already talked to you about it but sometimes comas can last a few more days than expected. We do expect Ms. Horan to wake up but we need patience. Thank you for your guy's cooperation so far, we appreciate it."
The doctors walked away
Mal tried going back to sleep but she couldn't, it was all too much to handle.

The doctors and the EMT start rushing by
The team jumps up, some waking up. what was happening ?
Emily looked down the hall.
They were going right into Lindsey's room
"Maybe she woke up!" Mal tried saying cheerfully
Emily turned around with a horrified look on her face.
Julie and Moe locked eyes
Kelley looked at Emily who's eyes were being flooded.
Emily collapsed. Trembling and shaking. For all she knew this could be the end.
She will never not blame herself for her sister, and now she's blaming herself for the cause of lindsey.
"We need a best friend! Someone who's really close with Ms Horan! Please hurry!" The doctor shouted down the hall
Kelley picked Emily off her feat
"Go sonnett."
Emily nodded wiping her tears and sprinting down the hall
There Lindsey was breathing heavily. Eyes wide open, she was up.
Emily couldnt believe it. Her best friend is alive.
The doctor looked at her like do something to calm her down
Right.
But right when Lindsey makes eye contact with Emily her breathing slows, and she leans back.
Emily reaches out her hand slowly and takes Lindsey's intertwining their fingers.
The doctor moves out of the room and comes back with kelley, moe, christen, tobin, and mal.
Lindsey looks up and smiles at the sight of her teammates.
Her smile quickly turns into a frown.
Mal stops smiling
Mal thought maybe it was her, maybe she shouldn't be in there.
Lindsey grabs her head
"Ow...ow. OW. SOMEONE HELP. PLEASE. MY. HEAD." lindsey explodes
Emily quickly untangled their fingers and yells for the doctors. they come in and hook up more iv's
She slowly starts drifting asleep and said they needed to take scans to make sure theres no surgery needed.

"So much for that" emily mumbled to herself while kicking at a chair.
It was now 6 pm and mostly everyone was sleeping.
Emily shoved her hands in her pockets and started walking out the door
Kelley woke up, mal looked up, and Alex got up to grab her but she quickly disappeared.
"Not good" Mal said jumping up
She ran out the door to find Emily while going out the door she knew she was gonna get lost, it was so dark out.
But wheres Emily?
Kelley and Alex came out the door looking for Mal
Mal looked back at them with worried eyes
"What way did she go?" Alex said frantically
"Somewhere behind the hospital" Mal said
They all crept up slowly to see emily throwing rocks at the darkness
"Why is it always my fault. I'm the cause of this" Emily mumbled
"Why cant anything be normal for once. Heck, im the cause of my dead sister. I cant be the cause of my favorite person." she started to cry
They watch as Emily sits down and puts her head in her knees. "I cant lose her too...i love her." emily says in between sniffles.
Kelley grabs Alex's hand
Mal looks back at the two realizing what's happening
They slowly turned around and walked away and back into the hospital lobby
3 minutes later emily comes in, hood up, headphones in, head down and goes to the corner
This isnt good.

Doctors come in around 8 pm and tell the team great news
"Ladies thank you for being patient. Your friend is going to be ok. There was just some brain swelling and we need a few surgeries for that. After that, she should all be ready to play in about 2 months, like game wise. She can practice in maybe a month. But depending on how well she recovers will determine her time off."
"How many surgeries is a "few" doc" Julie asked
"2 surgeries. We want her to get back with you guys As soon as possible so she will be on the road to recovery in two days. Her surgeries start tomorrow. Get rest ladies, we also have cots and pillows along with blankets for you guys because those chairs are certainly uncomfortable. We couldn't really get a lot of single cots so theres plenty of double cots. you guys are teammates so that shouldn't be much of a problem." He laughs
*SIDE NOTE: if you don't know what cots are, they are like beds, but they have the thinness of a hammock and are on metal legs. Usually used for camping*
So the whole team got their beds ready.
The people who got the single cots were, alyssa, becky, moe, and sam. everyone else had a buddy
Mal saw Emily in the corner with her head in her knees and just sitting there.
She looked at kelley and whispered "Let sonny sleep with you tonight, i'll sleep with rose"
"Are you sure Mal?"
"positive. she needs someone, and you guys are very close"
Kelley got up and picked Emily up and laid her down and took her headphones out and put her phone on the charger, which was wet for some reason. She looked at what was paused halfway through the song
"Its you"
She knew right away. Tears and a sad song. She really was in love with Lindsey.
Julie said goodnight to everyone and they all drifted to sleep.
Big day tomorrow.
Yep ik this was long but it was to make up for not writing ina while. As you can see, a relationship is starting to fall into place. Thank you for reading, more wednesday:)
