"What the hell do you mean I can't play?" Jennie demands, glaring at the headmaster, her arms crossed.

He had just informed her that she wasn't allowed to play at the annual football game against the Timberwolves.

"It's not my rule it's your mother's." Professor Vardemus informs the young brunette, stepping out from behind his desk.

Jennie huffs. "So? Last time I checked she was still on another continent." Jennie retorts.

"That she is, but do you know who's not? Josie, Lizzie, and Alaric. If I let you play I might as well pack my bags now."

Jennie scoffs. "I thought you believed in me?"

"I do, they however don't." Vardemus walks over to Jennie and places his hand on her shoulder, looking her in the eyes. "But remember Jenna, being great requires discipline."

Jennie nods, looking down at the ground to avoid the headmaster's gaze.

He removes his hand. "Besides it will give you a chance to practice my first lesson."

Jennie raises her brow, looking back up at the man. "Which is?"

"Never let them see you sweat." Vardemus answers walking back to his desk, leaning against his walking stick. "You're powerful Jenna, but your main weakness is your inability to keep cool under pressure. When you react you give the advantage to your opponent. I was originally going to have to play me in a game of poker, but fate has presented itself with another opportunity."

"What? Sitting alone in this building all day while everyone has fun?" Jennie asks sarcastically.

"You won't be alone. Tristan Lilien will be accompanying you." Professor Vardemus announces.

"What?! Why the hell is that asshole staying here?!" Jennie shouts, losing her temper.

The headmaster just grins. "And that is exactly why you need this lesson. But for your information, he's staying because he refuses to play against his old team."

"Have you met the jackass? The man infuriates me. How the hell am I suppose to play nice all day with him?" Jennie exclaims with a scowl on her face.
