The mayor sounded very surprised when he learned of the tomb beneath the house. He assured Lang that he had no previous knowledge of the hidden chamber and graciously refunded fifty gold coins for the unfortunate incident. Lastly, the mayor encouraged Lang to have someone from the temple visit the home and make sure there were no lingering evils.

"Is this what you call a questline?" Azazel asked tentatively.

"Azazel! You're learning!" Lang's grin stretched from ear to ear, "Yes, this is more than a standalone quest. Since the mayor directed us to the temple, we know that there is more to this little incident than an undead wizard."

"Let's hope our house is fine," Azazel grumbled.

"I'd love to actually sleep in my own home," Lang agreed.

The temple was the largest building in the village. It was located in the center of town for easy access. Only one story tall, the temple was pentagonal in shape with elegant white pillars girding a brick shingled roof. Occasionally a priest or priestess would enter or exit the building.

"Are they going to be secretly evil like the temple in Dervun?" Azazel asked suspiciously, "Or the temple in Proximo? Or Merul?"

"The cliché is kind of overused," Lang chuckled, "But in this case I don't think we'll be encountering any conspiracies. Temples in small villages are more likely to be true to their teachings."

"So do we just need to grab a priest?" Azazel asked, peering through the pillars to the interior of the building.

"Exactly," Lang clapped his hand on one of the passing priest's shoulder. The young lad yelped in surprise and turned to see his attacker.

"Hey there. I'm the Hero of Goltav," he introduced himself with a winning smile, "My companion and I need help with the tomb of an evil undead underneath our house."

"Certainly hero! I can help you with..." he trailed off as his gaze shifted to Azazel.

"Is there a problem?" Lang asked, drawing the man's gaze back to his own.

"Ah, well, hero do you know that she is-"

"Yes. Yes I do. Is there a problem?" Lang repeated. His voice sounded just the slightest bit threatening. The priest glanced at Azazel again who gave him a cool stare.

"N- no. No, everything is in order. Please lead me to your home hero." Lang patted the priest on the shoulder and headed down the road with Azazel close beside him.

"I guess some things are the same for every temple," Azazel muttered.

"You know, my religion accepts all-"

"I'm not interested in David Amos or whatever it is you always go on about," Azazel cut him off.

"You're interested enough to remember his name," the man shrugged good-naturedly and continued walking. Upon arriving at the house, Lang indicated the collapsed area beneath the house and explained what had been found beneath. The priest nodded and preformed a short ritual with a circle of candles and a prayer to the gods. His eyes flashed a brilliant gold color for a moment before returning to normal.

"There was indeed an evil presence within this house," the man said, "However, that being has left its physical form and now roams the world in spirit form."

"So we've created a ghost?" Azazel asked, her eyebrows furrowed in thought.

"Is there a way to track down the spirit?" Lang followed up.

"You said that Nethes claimed he could not die. So far that seems correct. That individual no longer has a body but is still very much present in the plane of mortals. There is no way to track this spirit though. We will simply have to wait for him to show up."
