Pokézombs (Gotta Cure em All!) Issue 1

Chapter 7:Lockdown

"Shut down the borders now!" Josh demanded as a group of unidentified men approached Fox Town. "We can't let them in, they are very fishy looking, and look at those Pokémon behind them. Those look like zombies!" "What should we do?" Asked Quinn." Josh had an idea, but didn't know if it would work.... "I'm going to send out all my Pokémon and you two keep them here. I'm going to get Bill. He's a Pokémon researcher and he might be able to find a cure. His lab is just outside the town. The borders will stay up as long as they can. Good luck... Monferno, Swellow, Riolu, Chinchou, Gligar, and Herdier! Come out and protect the town!" Gavin and Quinn were stunned at these Pokémon. All were loyal (except maybe Gligar), were very strong, and looked in great condition.

Josh left to find Bill. Quinn and Gavin stayed and sent their Pokémon out as well. Riolu instantly ran up to Quinn and tugged on his shirt, wanting attention. "What's up Riolu? Are you hungry?" Riolu shook his head no, he wasn't hungry, thirsty, or tired. He was scared now that Josh had left him here. Plus the men on the outside were defeating guards, all that was left to keep them out was the walls. Lines of Blissey, Chansey, Tegekiss, Ferothorn, and Venusaur stood at the edge of the city, all together as one great Pokémon wall (get it, these Pokémon are competitive walls or stalls)! If one Pokémon was KOed, the whole line should be ruined. Without warning, Swellow took off to the wall Pokémon's sides and stood his ground. Swellow was Josh's most loyal Pokémon, and would do anything for him. Then.... BOOM!!! The line was broke! A Mightyena burst through a Chansey with a Poison Fang and the others breached the surrounding Pokémon! Herdier, Monferno, and Swellow all started holding off the zombies. Earlier they found out zombie Pokémon had a weakness, fighting type. Herdier was using Superpower, Monferno using Mach Punch and Power-Up Punch, and Swellow using Steel Wing, Wing Attack, and Quick Attack! Suddenly, Chinchou let out a HUGE blast of electricity! Could this have been Thunder? It had to be. It was the only move capable of taking out 17 Pokémon zombies at a time! Gligar joined the fight, using Dig, Fire Fang, and Brick Break. These zombies had finally been defeated with the help of Josh's Pokémon and the walls. Fox Town was secure... For now...

About 10 minutes after the breach, Josh and Bill made it to Fox Town. During the time Quinn and Riolu made a bond. This was friendship, and Josh decided to hand Riolu over to Quinn. "Really? I don't know, maybe you should" Josh cut off Quinn, saying, " Keep him, he is yours." At the end of the day, Quinn and Riolu were new friends. Josh, Quinn, and Gavin decided to go on to the next town. Lightning City was the next destination, but something was in their way. This was Boulder Village...
