As Quinn and Gavin meet their new friend Pancham, they must prepare to meet enemies. As the two friends travel to the mysterious and unforgiving Guruga City.
"Hey Quinn!" Gavin says as the two enter the gate, "What now?" Quinn replies.
"Does this place look... Weird to you?"
"Yah it kind of does..." Quinn says his voice trailing off. Once into the gates a scream is heard and out of the pokemon center comes a rabid Arcanine!
"NOIBAT COME OUT!" Quinn exclaims! "Gavin keep Pancham protected this is a job for me." "Noibat get it!" Quinn yells. Noibat flys forward and whips up a large gust making the Arcanine fly into a near by brick wall. Then while Noibat flys back towards Quinn waiting to be praised for his job well done, gets bitten by a small Growlithe that emerged from Guruga cave! "NO NOIBAT BUDDY NO!" Quinn yells. Gavin runs towards Quinn and drags him to the center before Noibat zombifis. ....
The boys enter the center, Gavin says "Quinn, you love water types there is a river that hasn't been infected yet, The Destiny River, we can get you a new companion there."
Then a news cast appeared on the PC screen inside the center, and Quinn watched as Gavin healed his team. "THIS JUST IN GURUGA CITY HAS BEEN OVER RUN! GYM LEADER JAKE IS DEAD I REPEAT DEAD! EVACUATE THE CITY AND GET TO THE POKEMON LEAGUE NOW! .......(static)"
