Pokézombs (Gotta Cure em All!) Issue 1

Chapter 10:The Gavinator

As the boys progressed to Lightning City, there was a route ahead. This was a dark and foggy route and there was a mysterious noise. "What is that noise!" Declared Gavin, "It's like a hoard of the same Pokémon howling!" "Maybe it is...." Josh was cut off by 6 Pokémon running straight passed them! But one was, different. The first 5 were black with some red, but this last one was bigger and had a light blue color to it. Could this have been... A shiny?!? "Quinn, Josh!" Declared Gavin, "We're going to get that Pokémon!" The boys started chasing the Pokémon, but they lost them... Where could they have gone?

Finally the boys heard the howling again, but this time it was farther away. They started following it, when a wild Murkrow attacked Quinn! Quinn said to Gavin and Josh to go ahead and that he'd catch up, he was taking care of this Murkrow... "Alright! Tyrece, come out!" Quinn had to play it smart. Tyrece had Rock Tomb, which would kill it, bite, which wouldn't do anything, and... STOMP! Perfect. "Tyrece! Use Stomp!" Quinn's Pokédex read that Murkrow had a small amount of health. The Murkrow fired back, using a strong steel wing!! "Tyrece NO!!!!" Quinn was devastated to see Tyrece go down... Except, the Pokédex was talking in his pocket! (Muffled sound) "but rock and steel type Pokémon are so solid if it faints it doesn't turn into a Pokézomb..." Quinn was speechless.... There were Pokémon that could faint but not zombifiy? "Tyrece you did your job. Duskball go!" 1.... 2.... 3! Quinn did it! He caught the Murkrow! "I'll name you, Daffy..."

"Pancham use Karate Chop on the leader!" "Monferno, use Mach Punch on them simultaneously!" Both Pancham and Monferno connected the hits and did damage. Monferno KOed three Zorua at the same time! It was down to three, the shiny leader, and two of the stronger pack members. "Use Wing Attack!" All of the sudden Daffy flew out of the fog and hit a Zorua! The three boys were ready to fight! "I'll take the shiny!" Said Gavin. Gavin had already done so much damage he couldn't risk another hit. He decided to throw a Pokéball at it... Bing! Not only did Quinn get a Murkrow, but Gavin caught a shiny Zorua!!! The other two Zorua fainted and the boys found a Pokémon Center to stop at and stay the night at. The boys all told their story on getting the Pokémon and had a great rest of the night...
