Chapter 2: Everything Is Ready

Jonathan's p.o.v: Sunday
"Jace remember my little sister Clary is coming home today cause it's her 16th birthday. Can you please help me with cleaning up the spare room for her?!" I yelled.
My parents divorced last year. So Clary stays with our dad Valentine Morgentsern and I stay with our mom Jocelyn Morgenstern. Clary's coming back today because it's her birthday and dad and mom are working so I want her to meet my girlfriend Isabelle Lightwood and my best friend Jace Herondale. I haven't seen Clary in 1 year and I'm really excited to see her, we are really close, we tell each other everything. We're like best friends. It really tore me to see her go.
"Yeah sure, I'm coming!" Jace yelled.
Jace is my best friend He has gold hair and gold eyes,to be honest out of all my friends I trust Jace enough to be around Clary. She has been through a lot with our parents divorce and school so I trust him. I'm captain of the football team, so I have a lot of friends. Most of them like Josh, Ben, Jared, Nate, Leo and Kendall would want to just hook up with her. Clary will never do that but they would try so they've just got to keep their distance. It would be kinda hard cause the team is always at my house. So when Clary is there they will try because she is a very beautiful girl. I don't see how she's not popular. She's just a average high school girl from what I've heard.
Jace's p.o.v.
Jonathan's sister Clary is coming back today. I've never met her before or even seen her. Jonathan is going to have the whole team here to welcome her home. Jon has said she is very beautiful and is worried about the team going to try and hook up with her, he said he knows for a fact that she will say no because she's not that type of girl. Jon and Clary are really close. He is always calling her and seeing how everything is because she lives in California with their dad and Jon lives here in New York With their mom. I'm kind of excited to finally meet her. Jon said she's nice, smart, kind hearted and very beautiful. He said apparently she is just a average high school girl, he cannot believe she's not popular. But To be honest it doesn't really matter if she's popular or not, I'm just excited to meet her after all of the good things I've heard about her.
I walk into the spare room that is now Clary's. I knock on the door as Jon turns around. Jonathan has light blonde hair and bright green eyes. His girlfriend Isabelle Lightwood has black hair and black eyes. She's a good friend of mine. Jon is going crazy he thinks everything has to be perfect. Right now he is making her bed and putting other things away.
"What do you need help with?" I ask
"Here take this." He hands me a 20 dollar bill. I raise an eyebrow.
" I'm not going to strip for anyone if that's what your inquiring."
Jonathan rolled his eyes. " No, can you please go to the store up the road and buy a sketch book and pencils, Clary loves to draw and she's planning on going to art school."
"Ooh, ok be back in a few." I say as I walk out.
"Thanks Jace."Jon yelled.
"No problem." I call back.

I bought what Jonathan asked me. I'm walking into the house and I see Jared, Josh,Leo, Nate, Kendall and Ben already there I'm guessing he just chose them so she doesn't feel overwhelmed. Theirs no girls here that's a change. Jon sees me and pulls me aside.
"Hey thanks for getting the stuff." He looks nervous.
"No problem, what's wrong you look nervous." I ask.
"I'm just worried about the guys, can you please make sure they keep their distance from Clary?"
"Sure, but Jonathan she's 16 I think she can handle herself." I say
" I know just please watch out for her?" He asked
"Yeah of course." I say with a smile. Jon nods and walks out. Now all we have to do is wait for her to come. Clary is a beautiful name.
I can hardly contain my excitement.
