Chapter 10: School Part 1

Clary's p.o.v
Once we arrived at school, a whole group of guys came rushing to my car. Probably Jon's friends. When I got out of the car someone grabbed me lightly by the elbow and pulled me out if the crowd. We were now standing near a park bench. I look up to see a boy with blonde hair and gold eyes like Jace. He has pale skin, high cheek bones and full pink lips that are smiling at me. He is wearing a white shirt with a checkered red and black shirt completely open with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows on top. He was wearing jeans that hung nicely on him and sneakers I'm very short compared to him.

"Thanks, wow I'm guessing my brother is the popular guy in the school?" I asked the last part. I look at Jace who was watching me and this boy. Girls are all over him but he doesn't seem to be paying any attention. Jon has his arm wrapped around a very beautiful girl with raven black hair.

"No problem, you must be Clarissa Morgenstern, I'm Matthew Fairchild. But you can call me Matt." I look back up at him and smile.

" hi, yes I am Clarissa but you can call me Clary." I say staring into his beautiful gold eyes that look so much like Jace's.

"Okay Clary, if your wondering who your brother is holding there," he points to Jon and the girl with raven black hair. "Her name is Isabelle, she's Jonathan's girlfriend." Matthew said looking back at me again.

I nodded my head and said."oh I didn't know my brother had a girlfriend."

Matthew laughs."well I'm guessing your going to meet her now." I look back at Jon who is now walking over to us with the girl with raven black hair-Isabelle and Jace. Matt stays by my side.

"Hey Clary I want you to meet someone this is my girlfriend Isabelle Lightwood." Jonathan said gesturing toward Isabelle.

"You never mentioned you had a girlfriend."i say. Isabelle looked offended.

"I'm quite offended that you didn't tell your sister about me." She smiled at me. I smiled back at her. Jace was still staring at me. What's his deal? I thought. I laugh at Jon's reaction. He seemed generally surprised.

"Well Clary I didn't tell you because of yesterday." He said in almost a whisper. Matthew looks at me and I look at the ground. He rubs my back in soothing motions. I was just about to respond when someone came behind me yanked me by my elbow.

"Hello Clary miss me? Guess what your going to be seeing a lot of me now because I'm living here now." Sebastian. Whispered in my ear sending shivers down my spine. I look up and saw Matthew looking alarmed. He then walked up to Sebastian and detached his hand from my arm and wrapped his arm around my waist.

"Okay I think you need to leave Sebastian." He gave Sebastian a death glare. Sebastian laughed and looked at me.

"Yeah I don't think that is going to happen, I came here to get my girl back." He Said glaring at Matthew. I look up at Sebastian.

"Your girl? I think I'm far from that. I said to leave me alone. Remember what happened last time?" Sebastian's eyes widened. He looked at Jace who was now on my other side and he looked at Jon who was behind me. Nate came up behind Sebastian and yanked him back by the shoulders.

"I SAID STAY AWAY FROM HER DO YOU HEAR ME?!" Nate yelled.i sucked In a breath.

The only thing I like about Nate is that he protects me from Sebastian. Once Sebastian nodded and walked off, I looked up go see Matthew looking at me with concern all over his face. He takes my hand and we start walking into the school.

" Where's you schedule?" He asked gently. I hand it over to him with shaky hands. He study's my schedule and smiles.

"Good we have all our classes together, come on let's go." I nod and we head to our first class. At least I've already made a friend. Maybe even a new best friend.

Matthew's p.o.v

I was walking to the car park at school. I don't really have any friends cause people find me weird, but I don't really care. When a car pulls up in the parking lot a Hurd of jocks and skanks run to the car. Jonathan Morgenstern and Jace Herondale jump out of the passengers side. On the drivers side a girl comes out. She must be Jonathan's sister. My breath got caught in my throat. Wow she was beautiful, she had fiery red hair and big emerald green eyes. She was trying to get out of the crowd so I decided to help her out. I walked over to the crowd, I gently grab her by her elbow and lead her to a park bench. Up close I could see she had cute little freckles, high cheek bones and full pink lips. She was wearing an black tank top that said Fall Out Boy in it, my favourite band, with black ripped skinny jeans and black sand shoes. She obviously didn't know she was beautiful by the way she looks so nervous.

"Thanks, wow I'm guessing my brother is the popular guy in the school?" She asked in the most sweetest voice I've ever heard. She was short but she totally pulled it off.

"No problem, you must be Clarissa Morgenstern, I'm Matthew Fairchild. But you can call me Matt." I tell her. She looked up at me and smiled.

" hi, yes I'm Clarissa but you can call me Clary." Said Clary. Her emerald green eyes sparkling. I guess I made a friend. That brought a smile to my face. All I want is to be friends anyway. So that's good. Maybe even a best friend.

Clary nodded her head and said."oh I didn't know my brother had a girlfriend."

I laugh. "well I'm guessing your going to meet her now." She looks back at Jonathan who is now walking over to us with Isabelle and Jace. I stay with her so she doesn't have to deal with this crappy school alone.

Wow I've never seen him act this way around a girl. I think that she will be good for him. Jace see's me looking at him and pretends to be innocent. Yep he totally likes her

She looks up me. I then walked up to Sebastian and detached his hand from Clary's arm and wrapped my arm around her waist. This guy looks like trouble they obviously have a bad past from her reaction.

"Yeah I don't think that is going to happen, I came here to get my girl back." He Said glaring at Me. At that Clary snapped her up to look at Sebastian. His girl? they must have dated.

"I SAID STAY AWAY FROM HER! DO YOU HEAR ME?!" Nate yelled. Clary sucked In a breath. Nate also has a thing for Clary or he's trying to get into her panties. I won't let that happen because he is a player and she is now my best friend.

Once Sebastian nodded and walked off, She looked up to see me looking at her with concern all over my face. I take her hand and we start walking into the school. " Where's your schedule?" I asked gently. She hands it over to me with shaky hands, I study her schedule and smile. "Good we have all our classes together, come on let's go." She nods and we head to our first class.
