Untitled Part 14

"Archen..."

He stops. That voice sounds familiar, he cannot be mistaken. He slowly turn around and saw the man who is the reason why he pursues this field.

"Dad..."

He is with their Dean who is also looking curiously at him at the moment. He gulps, this is the first time his dad talks to him this month because they are both busy.

"What are you doing here?"

His father's eyebrows crossed. Looking at what they are wearing now he is sure that they are also volunteering in this area. He moves closer to his dad to greet him properly and as he do that he saw his friends reaction. His dad is the owner of one of the most famous heart center in the country and yes he didn't bother telling it to his classmates.

They respect him too much it'll trouble him if they told them he is his son.

"I-I volunteer here."

"You do? Then why are you making a scene awhile ago?"

The old man throws him a questioning look, he has an idea but he wants to hear it from his son. They are standing here long enough to see what happened.

But Chen wasn't able to answer when a nurse came and ask for help in the newcomers. On the other hand Chen looks back at the entrance of cave waiting for Nine. It might take hours but he is willing to wait.

"Help! We need medical team to assist!"

He runs towards the voice that he recognizes coming from the volunteer he is talking to awhile ago! When he arrived at where he is he panics seeing Nine in the guy's arms unconscious!

"W-What happened?"

"He suddenly collapse when we're near the entrance..." The volunteer looks at his water proof wristwatch as he continues "exactly 2 minutes ago."

He cannot think clear he holds Nine's wrist and check for his pulse.

"He is not breathing!"

He didn't say that! He looks up as he sees his Dad starting to pump the unconscious guy infront of them.

"Stretcher!" It was as if he is watching a medical themed drama he is just there watching his Dad as he do his job.

"What are you doing there, Archen? Move!"

He comes back to life when he heard his Dad yells at him. This is the first time he yelled at him not because he did something against his will. He moves and followed his Dad at the emergency car as he continues pumping.

"Switch!" he moves towards the position of his Dad awhile ago and started pumping Nine's chest as his Dad monitors and assist him this time.

They arrived at the nearest hospital in the place and they are immediately welcome by the ER team. His Dad talks to the Doctor on duty and as they discuss the situation he is just thete eyeing the chaos inside the transparent room. He badly wanted to help but he is starting to get tired, if he only knew this situation will get this serious he wouldn't waste his energy in the last days.

He felt someone tap his shoulder, he look up and saw his Dad giving him a knowingly look.

"I won't ask who is he, yet. But if he is able to survive the situation he is in I need an explanation. For the mean time I am going back to the area and help them packed."

He nodded and didn't bother say a word. When his Dad left he give in and closes his eyes.

"Nine... Wake up na..."

"Your friends are waiting for you. Wake up immediately please..."

"You are wasting your days sleeping! Wake up Nine! Our graduation is near!"

He can't see anything besides the white area he is in right now, his friends voices are calling him and he wanted to go to them but he can't find the way.

Where are you?

"Nine..."

He stops. That voice is from Chen, he looks around and try to search for him but he cannot see him anywhere he tried to run away but he seems not to move in his place.

He closes his eyes and concentrate before opening his eyes again and when he did he saw a white wall around him.

"He is awake!"

"Call the Doctor!"

"Immediately!"

"Yes!"

"Nine? Can you hear us?"

He can hear the voice but he can't see the people around him. He felt them but why can't he see them?

"W-Where's Chen?"

Silence.

"I heard his voice. W-Where is he?"

He tried to close and open his eyes once again until he can see his friends already, worry is visible in their eyes but for now he only wanted to see Chen.

"The Doctor is here!"

Like the red sea his friends are parted in two to give waysm for the Doctor. The old man started to check and ask him things.

"W-Where's Chen?"

They didn't answer again but this time he felt someone grab his left hand. He knows who owns that warmth.

"C-Chen..."

"I'm here. Don't worry."

He calmed down and nodded at the guy who is staring right him.
