Untitled Part Nine

We are planning our Sagada trip that day in our room and I can see all the playful smiles from my classmates including Pavel and Dome. Though they are talking seriously, they will sometimes pay attention in me for being quite. Nope I can't escape this time. I know that.

"So everything is planned. We are only 11 because some of our classmates are unable to leave their family here alone. So if there's someone who wants to bring their BOYFRIENDS at our trip just say so."

They all look at me mischievously. Sammy raised her hands," I'll bring my cousin, okay? I'll take the one slot, and just give the other one for Nine because I'm sure he can't take being far away from Chen."

That's all she needs to say and everyone started teasing me. They all laugh seeing me there hopeless while blushing. I still did not say anything but I know they already have the idea just wanted some confirmation.

"There's really nothing going on between us." Everyone knows that's a lie!! They went silent for a moment as they were checking out my reaction. Slip!

They all tsk-ed. Gun and Fluke is looking at me with that knowingly eyes. Pavel and Dome? Somehow disappointed in what I said.

"So are you saying that the kiss on the forehead means nothing to you? What's that then?"

Sammy said raising her right eyebrow at me. I don't know why I said what i said but it's not because I am ashamed of what's going on between us. It's like more personal reason. I want to be private, unlike now that almost everyone in the school is waiting for the information of our relationship's progress.

"Nine..."

I look at my classmate who is usually standing at the door way and again saw the man we're just talking about awhile ago. I stood up immediately because his reaction is not quite good. Is it because I left him sleeping again? Gulp. Or is it because of the possibility of him hearing what we're talking about? Even my classmates didn't dare say anything as I walk to him.

"Chen..."

My classmate might notice something's wrong that's why he decided to leave us there. Chen didn't say anything he is just staring at me with his usual serious face but I know that this time this means something.

(Insert: Gusto kong sumabog at sabihin ang masasamang... Mga words.)

He sighs as he gives me a paper bag the same with what he gave me last time. He literally didn't say anything he just left me there after that, I am looking at his way but cant even utter his name. I felt guilty even though I am not sure if he heard it.

I went back inside I felt all their eyes on me, they go back to their own seats as they tap either my shoulder or head.

"You messed it bigtime." Dome said.

"You hurt him. Tsk." My father - - I mean Pavel said as he messes my hair. Did I really?

We wrap up our meeting that day with some drinks. Some decided to buy what they'll be needing in the trip while some especially boys stay there to continue.

They were talking about some computer games that I can't relate to.

"If you can't concentrate here, why don't you just head back home?"

I look at Pavel who is seating beside me while playing his ML, Dome is on the other side just paying attention to us from time to time. He is not really that interested at games you can say.

"I'm afraid..."

"You better be afraid more that he misunderstood you for that words."

I bite my lips. I get what he said, even if that's just some random words he is saying especially now that he is playing but I still can understand. I stood up amd excuses myself to my classmates they all just nodded. I am not really drunk just a bit tipsy err. I decided to go back to my unit but he isn't there, where could he be?

Home? Probably. I sat down to my sofa my kind is mess up really it's just a day but I misses him already, it's only one day but I messes up what's between them. Where is he?

I tried calling him but to no avail. I texted him-no reply.

Chen? Where are you?
Are you going home?
Reply please... I'm worried.
We're going to Sagada do you want to come with us?

I'm sorry.

Even though I don't know what to say sorry about. Im not at fault. Am I?

"Why are your eyes fluffy?" Sammy asks as she puts her bags inside the car.

"Just didn't get enough sleep."

She didn't buy it I can tell by the way she looks at me. I don't care, I played with my phone as I wait for Chen's reply. Sighs. I know he wont just want to have some little hope here.

"Let's go?"

I nodded. I am seated at the back and Nanon is beside me, we are not talking maybe because everyone notice how gloomy I am this day. I decided to sleep because I've got tired of waiting.

I'm not surrendering, just taking a rest.
