Lilith's point of view

It's been almost two weeks since the whole assault thing happened and I've been pretty good. My lip healed and the bruise wasn't visible anymore. Ephraim and I are still being normal to each other and by that I mean there have been no mean comments. Well, here and there because it's just a force of habit.

I was pretty down when I came home that night, mainly because no one was home. Sure Candy and Caesar were but I miss my parents sometimes. That's something I realized during my time at Ephraim's house.

I learned that, even though they don't have much money, they're a happy and content family. Evangeline got served and adored by those three men, it was obvious they loved her. Being there also made me miss my brother but I wouldn't know what I would do if he came back.

School's been pretty boring, probably because I'm not bickering with Ephraim anymore. I have been talking to William here and there, he was a pretty nice guy but I missed Eva and the guys a little.

I'm not hanging with them anymore, which is the cause of my sulking on my own on a Friday night whilst watching Full House. I didn't really like the episode though, it was the one where Jesse's grandpa dies.

I got pulled out of my thoughts when Candy whined and licked my cheek. "I'm sorry, baby. It's just a really sad episode." I cooed before taking a spoonful of my ice cream. My sweats were comfy and my tight wife beater was a little chilly, which is why I was under a blanket.

Quinn had to go away to her grandparents this weekend so I didn't have anyone to hang out with either. Shannon and Brie, sure but all they did was shopping and drinking coffee. The doorbell rang and I paused my show with annoyance and confusion.

"I didn't order pizza or went online shopping. My parents have a key." I listed off as I walked to the front door. "So that leaves my brother." I frowned, pulling the door open to reveal the guys and a crying Evangeline. "And you guys, obviously. Why didn't I think of that?" I muttered.

"Fix it." Ephraim stated, holding the teary eyed Eva out to me and I took her from his hold. Behind him were Dash and Vince, both of them in sweats and simple shirts just like Ephraim himself. They looked like they were ready for a comfy night in.

"What happened?" I asked, opening the door more so they could step inside. "Shoes off." I added and they immediately did as told.

"She came home from school and went straight to her room. When I went to check up on her, she was crying and she won't tell me why." Ephraim sighed, not liking it that his baby sister was in tears.

"Alright, you three go to the kitchen and help yourselves to something." I guided them to the kitchen. "I'll talk to this little princess and fix it." I held Eva closer to me and she tucked her face into my neck.

I carried her back to the living room and put her down before slipping my black cardigan back on. I pulled her on my lap and wiped her tears gently. "What's wrong, little one?" I asked softly and only a second later she spilled.

"I liked this boy in my class and I told him but he said that he didn't like me back." She wailed into my shoulder and I held back a chuckle.

"Baby, you don't need that puny boy." I told her and she giggled. I pulled out my phone and showed her the live security footage from the kitchen. "Do you see this?" I asked and her face lit up when she saw the boys.

"Evie!" She cheered.

"See, baby, they're all worried about you because they all love you." I whispered to her. "You don't need that little boy because you already have a king, a royal guard and a joker." I pointed to each of the guys. "And now two royal hounds." I gestured to Candy and Caeser, who were sitting patiently.
