Lilith's point of view

I woke up the next morning with a heavy weight on my- well pretty much my entire body. I peeled my eyes open and noticed that Ephraim was spooning me from behind, his nose nuzzled into the back of my neck. I felt a small movement and realized he just scunched his nose.

I glanced down to see his arm above the covers and clamped around my waist. I shifted my legs the tiniest bit and felt his heavy legs tangled with my freshly shaved ones. I sighed, moving my head to get more comfortable on my pillow, turns out that was his other arm.

How many limbs does this guy have!? I thought as I closed my eyes again. I rested one arm infront of me and the other went under my pillow. I don't know why but that position made me feel safe and warm.

I quickly pretended to be asleep when I heard the door creak open and soft pattering was heard. A shadow blocked my eyes from the sun and then the covers were pulled up. Evangeline slid her small body into the bed and under my arm. She nuzzled her face in my neck, just like her older brother and it didn't take long before her breathing slowed down. A tiny smile creeped on my face because I realized that I wasn't lonely anymore.

I froze when I felt Ephraim's arm move but then relaxed when he rested his hand on Eva's back. I was pretty much sandwiched between the two of them with no way of escaping but I didn't really mind.

If you told me a month ago that I would be sleeping in the same bed as Ephraim Navaro without any problems, I would have laughed in your face. Or punched you in the face, that probably would've depended on my mood.

I still had a bit of trouble believing that Ephraim saved me because I honestly thought he hated me with all his guts. For a while I just thought that Vincenzo forced him to save me because he is like that for some reason.

Vincenzo was the one that was always kind to me, even without speaking that much. I noticed a lot of little things he did for me throughout the years. He always gives me his jacket if he notices that I'm cold. He opens doors for me, pulls out chairs and glares a guys when they look at me the dirty way.

I don't really understand him, he was the exact opposite of Dashiell. Dash's an open book, it's easy to see when he's mad but that's a rare sight to see. He's usually bouncy and happy when you see him around school. I think it's because he just loves to annoy the crap out ot Vince.

I thought back to the few times that I've seen Dash mad as I tucked the blankets around Eva. I hummed to myself when I could only think of two moments of mad Dash. Sure, there are more serious Dash moments but mad was unique.

And then there was Ephraim, the boy that I've known since I was Eva's age. I'm quite sure that I know almost everything about him. I may not know things he likes to do at home but I know his habits, dislikes and a lot of body signals.

I know that he rubs the back of his neck when he's awkward. He crosses his arms when he mad and he gets this adorable frown. He rocks on his feet when he gets nervous, which is rare. And he barely smiles at school, some people even thought that he doesn't know how to smile. People are dumb.

I stiffened when I heard the door creak open again. "Well aren't they adorable." I heard Dash whisper and then a click went off.

"Will you stop taking pictures of sleeping people!?" Vince whispered back harshly. "Let's go before your loud âss wakes them up." The door shut softly and I chuckled.

"What's so funny?" A deep voice said from behind me and I turned to look at Ephraim. His eyes were still closed and his face was still hidden. "Staring isn't polite." He said, grey eyes shooting open and his head tilting upwards to gaze at me.

"Sorry." I said embarrassed because of the compromising position we were in. If he just move an inch, we would be kissing. I held Eva and shifted to lay on my back, laying her down on my stomach. Her face was still in my neck with her arms wrapped around it. "You should ask Dash if you can see your pictures." I suggested as I put some distance between our faces.

"What?" He frowned. "He takes pictures of me?" I chuckled as his facial expression. "How did she get in here?" He questioned, his gaze now lingering on his sister.

"She came in about half an hour ago and just slipped under the covers." I smiled, stroking her hair. "We should wake her up." I suggested as he leaned his head on my shoulder.

"Or we can just lay here and talk while adoring my baby sister." He countered and I let out a hum in agree. Sadly, we only had like three minutes because the door slammed open.

"Breakfast!" Dashiell yelled, him and Vince holding trays with food. Eva groaned and Ephraim sighed because they woke her up. Dash put the tray down and Ephraim took one of my pillows, slamming it into Dash's face.

"Evie!" Eva exclaimed, shocked with her brother's actions. "Don't hurt my joker!" She jumped up from my chest and grabbed a pillow to smash into Ephraim's face. I gasped before laughing loudly. "Help me, Lily!" She yelled as her brother started a tickle attack.

"I'm coming, Eva!" I let out a battle cry and then knocked Ephraim off her and onto the bed. Evangeline cheered loudly as I straddled him and then she came to help tickle him. His laughter echoed through my bedroom, mixing with Eva's giggles.

"Alright! Alright!" Dash picked Eva up. "Have mercy on the man." He snorted as he kissed the little girl in his arms. Ephraim sat up and turned to flop me off him. "Let's have breakfast in bed."

"Are we done?" Vince asked as he carried our shopping bags. "I don't think I am able to carry any more." Evangeline shrugged as she held mine and Eprhaim's hand, skipping betweeen us. "Can we call it a day?"

"You've never said this much all at once." I noticed as I turned my head to look at the grumpy guy. His black eyes narrowed and then he shrugged, knowing that I was right.

"Come on, dude." Dash chirped. "This is so much fun!" He exclaimed, swinging around the bags he had to hold. They started to bicker behind us and I chuckled.

"I am gonna pay you back for this." Ephraim said so only I could hear. I shook my head at him and waved him off. "I'm serious, Lilith. I'm not going to let you pay for everything my sister wants." He stated lowly.

"Evie." I sighed and he scowled at the name. "It's all good. I don't mind buying her some stuff. I have money enough and I don't say that to gloat. I'm telling you to let you know that it's no big deal."

"I'm return you your money anyway." He said determined. "No matter how long it takes."

"Suit yourself." I shrugged, already knowing that I just won't accept it.

"You can't just do stuff like this without thinking it through." He snapped and I grinned.

"Well then let me forever be known as the girl that does whatever the fuck she wants."
