"Taraji POV"

A week later

At DëL LÁ Henson's

"Phone Convo"

"Yeah mama I'll tell him you said hey." I rolled my eyes at my mom who didn't want me to hang up

"You should bring him more often Taraji. Why are you hiding that man from us?" She asked causing me to roll my eyes again

"I'm not hiding him mom. He's on the road a lot these days. He has a game tonight and I'm going to fly out to see him as a surprise." I told her

"I'm just saying Taraji. We've only met him once and that was a month ago." She said to me

"I know I'm sorry about that mom. I'll bring him around more once season ends. How's dad?" I asked

"He's okay, coaching keeps him extremely busy these days too. I haven't seen him since Sunday." She said and I knew what she was talking about.

Travis has been busy a lot too since its almost time for the season to end and they have a lot of games before then.

"Maybe we can set up a lunch or something when both of them comes back. Spend some time together?" She suggested

"Yeah that would be nice mama. I'll let you know when. I'll see you later okay." I said

"Okay baby I'll see you later. Oh and your aunt is joining us for dinner by the way. Along with Amy and her son." My mom said

Amy is my dads niece which makes her my cousin. She has a two month old son Adam that's absolutely adorable.

"That's great. We haven't seen them in a while. It'd be good seeing them." I said

"Yeah bring something sweet. I have a craving for your restaurants apple pie." She said and I giggled

"Okay mama, I'll see you later I love you." I said

And after an I love you too honey rang out I hung up and tossed my phone on my desk.

I got back to my paperwork and Susan walked in.

"Hey Raji." She greeted taking a seat in front of me.

"Hey, did you book me a flight to LA?"
