It's starting to get cold in the car so I turn up the heat a bit. Ally has been gone for about half an hour now. Then again she said talking to this guy Nick would take some time. I wonder what they're talking about though. He already told her she can control the weather which is honestly just ridiculous. Nobody can do that. She believed him, I just hope she's being careful.

Ally is one of the most interesting and kind people I've ever met. When my dad first told me a girl was going to be living with us I was prepared for the worst. Her parents just died, a loss I cannot even begin to comprehend.

The first time I met her I was having one of those nights. I had just come home from a party and heard a noise when I came into the house. Quickly I sat down on the chair to hide from my parents. They didn't come, but she did. She looked so broken and sad, I shake my head at the memory. It was like all life force had left her body. I watched her as she took a glass from the cabinet and filled it with water.

As she took a sip she turned around and suddenly faced me. As soon as she saw me the glass seemed to slip out of her hands and came shattering down on the floor. My head snapped up at the sound and I realised I scared her. In attempt to calm her down I just said hello to her, which now that I think about it might have just sounded creepy.

I chuckle at the thought. She had never seen me before and her first response was to grab a vase in defense. She was so determined to protect herself, something I admire a lot. My dad insisted I learned self defense when I was little, so that I could protect myself when something bad happened. Him being a detective and all we never know when something may happen.

Within one weekend Ally has become one of my best friends. She is one of the best listeners and knows how to have fun, although I got the feeling she was holding back. Probably because she's sad. I've made it my job to make her happy again.

My thoughts are interrupted by a loud bangs coming from the direction of the school. It sounds like gunshots. As fast as I can I get out of the car and follow the noise. I need to help her. Careful not to be seen I run towards the noise. The sound keeps repeating, something bad is happening.

Suddenly I see them. There's a large man standing only a few meters away from me, he has a large broadsword in his hand. Another wave of bullets fly his way, making me look the other way, to where the bullets are coming from. A young boy is standing there, with a gun in his hand. He's firing with a straight aim, telling me he knows what he's doing. But where's Ally?

Slightly panicking I look around, trying to find her. Then I notice something small laying in the grass between them, no not something someone. It's Ally. I want to run to her and do something, but then I see the young guy already kneeling down beside her.

For a moment I think the other man is going to attack them again, but he doesn't. He says something and then walks away, before disappearing out of nowhere. Quickly I walk toward the place he disappeared but when I get there, there's nothing to be seen. He left nothing behind, not even footprints.

When I turn around to go help Ally and the other guy, I see that they've both disappeared too. I walk to the spot they were sitting at just a few moments ago and see that they did leave something behind. A small knife, or dagger made of some kind of strong metal.

Before returning to my car I walk around the entire parking lot, but I can't find them. He must have had a car too and driven away. Hopefully Ally's alright. She didn't look too good on the ground. Once I realise they're not anywhere close anymore I go to my car.

I slowly turn the knife around in my hands, it's actually beautiful and the craftsmanship is uncanny. It must have cost a lot of money to make this. It's almost half past one when I reach the car and my phone starts to ring.
