Have you ever felt at any point and time you would break or disappear? Probably not, I doubt the thought has even crossed your mind. Unlike most people I have found in this world, I have had a lot of time to think about things like that and maybe it wouldn't be all that bad. I mean if I just disappeared.
Ever since I was a little girl I always was the outcast, the weird one. I never had one place to call home, no one seemed to want me. I was told at a young age by one of the foster parents I used to have that I'm a worthless waste of space and I should just die, I was only nine then, but now that I'm seven-teen I can understand what he is saying.
No one needs me, I'm just here wandering this earth, this town, I'm just here breathing, walking around like I'm alive, like I'm fine, like I'm not broken or dying inside. With each breath I take other part of my soul shatters, but that's what happens to the unwanted ones.
I walked down the sidewalk, my head down watching my feet move every time I took a step. My hair was moving with the wind and sweeping against my black jacket and cold face. I had no idea where my feet were taking me but I didn't care, I just needed to think things through before I said goodbye.
I walked about an hour before I stopped at a part of town I have never been before. There wasn't much here other than a few old buildings and some trees. I looked around and to my surprise there was one place that didn't look all that old are beaten down, a small little flower shop. I thought to my self "it couldn't hurt to see some flowers."
The stores name was Forever Flower, I couldn't help thinking it was a bit of an odd name as I walked in the door. When I walked in the door there was a strong sent of many different flowers. I was looking around and I saw so many wonderful colors. It's like I was in my own little world for a moment, but just a moment.
"Can I help you miss?" A voice from behind me said making me jump from surprise and breaking me from the trance I was in. "Woah, sorry I didn't mean to scare you." it was a boy about my age, he was tall a bit skinnier than most guys. He had dark brown hair and brown eyes to match and a cute smile. "You okay miss?" I snapped back into reality once again. "Oh yeah, sorry just a bit spacey today." he smiled and then giggled a bit, "Yeah that happens to me a lot too working here. Anyways can I help you with anything?" He said kindly. I looked around and then I saw a flower that I was drawn too, a rose to be specific. "Follow me." I told him with a smile as I started to walk toward it.
I walked over to the rose and smiled "I never have seen a rose this pretty." It was a rich red and full it was just beautiful and in my life of nothing but black and white it made it show a bit of color. "It is rather pretty." The boy said from behind me. "Yeah." I looked back at the boy and smiled, I hadn't done that in a long time, he smiled back at me his cheeks slightly red, it was cute. "My name is Lucy by the way." I said with confidence and care. "Nice to meet you Lucy, my name is Tyler." He smiled and put his left hand behind his head as he looked to the side, his cheeks still red. "You want to get a coffee sometime." I felt I needed to do this, I was drawn to him, he had this kindness and sweetness I have never seen before I needed to know him, I needed to. "Y-Yeah, when?" he said with a bit of shock and joy. "Here have this I'll let you know tomorrow okay." I handed him a sheet of paper with my number on it and smiled.
I walked too the door with Tyler right behind me his cheeks redder than before as he smiled. "Talk to you tomorrow Tyler." He nodded and smiled. "Can't wait, goodnight Lucy."
