On September the first, we made our way to Kings Cross Station. We were all holding tickets for a train to the school, but something was wrong. They were all tickets for a train at platform 9 and 3/4. We got to platform 9. Next to it was platform 10. There was no sign of any weird fractional platforms anywhere. From behind us, a blond guy and a brunette were looking equally puzzled. I walked over to them. The girl looked up and gasped. "You must be one of the demigod kids, right? I'm Katniss, and I'm the Panem representative," I grinned.

"How did you guess?"

"The Camp Half Blood T-shirt kind of gave it away," she smiled. The blond dude looked at me.

"What T-shirt?" So he can't see through the mist but she could. I wiped away the mist clouding his vision, a talent I'd learnt from Hecate. By this time the other five had followed me over.

"Hazel, who's this?" Jason asked, staring suspiciously at them.

"These are the Panem representatives, Katniss and..."

"Peeta. Peeta Mellark," he said.

"You wouldn't happen to know where the platform is, would you?," Percy interrupted.

Peeta shrugged. "Nope. We're just as stumped as you are," Then I noticed something weird, even for my high standards. A girl had just walked past us and disappeared into a wall.

"Guys, I think I found the platform," I said, and ran full speed at the wall, really hoping that I was right. Luckily, I was, and plummeted through the wall as it wasn't there. On the other side, was a beautiful red steam train, full of kids shouting their goodbyes to relatives. Then out of the wall came everyone else. "Come on, come on, I haven't got all day!" I laughed, and we all climbed onto the beautiful old locomotive.

Hermione

Fourth year at Hogwarts and I still hadn't quite got over how magnificent the building was. Dumbledore gave a speech, as usual, but just as we were all about to tuck in, Dumbledore held up both hands and said: "But first, I have another announcement. This year we will be hosting a historic event, called the Tri-Culture tournament. May I welcome the demigods of America, and the two Panem ambassadors!"

The doors opened to reveal some teenagers who's ages seemed to range from around 13 to 18. They walked forward and sat down in the empty spaces on the Gryffindor table. A blond girl sat next to me and a raven haired boy next to her. Dumbledore carried on talking,

"These people have traveled from America all the way over to complete in this event, but let me explain what it is. All over the world, supposedly mythical civilisations exist. This is a way of bringing a few of them together. From now until October 28th, a cup will stand in here. In this cup, you may enter your name. On October 28th, I will pick a three names; one for each civilisation. Then, on November 5th, a challenge will be held. You will find out more after that. On to the terms and conditions. You must be 17 or older to enter," This was met by a roomful of outcries, including Fred and George, who shouted that they're almost 17, but Dumbledore called for quiet. "This is for safety. Now may I invite Annabeth Chase to come up and explain what a demigod is?,"

I stood up and walked to the front of the room. "Who has heard of the Greek gods? Quite a lot of you?? But you assumed that they were myths, right? What if I told you that they weren't, because they're not. I am the daughter of Athena, Goddess of Wisdom. Percy, can you wave please, is the son of Poseidon, God of the Sea. Piper is the daughter of Aphrodite, Goddess of love and beauty. But it isn't just the Greek gods. Jason is the son of Jupiter, Roman god of the sky. Hazel is the daughter of Pluto, god of the underworld and Frank, son of Mars, god of war. We Greeks only found out about the Romans last year, when Hera organised a trade," I briefly explained the war against Gaia. "In that war a lot of lives were lost. One of those lives was Leo's. But were incredibly lucky to have lived to as old as we are, considering the monsters and immortals after us. I know it's hard to get your heads around, but it was hard for us at the start too," I explained, and sat back down.

Well into the feast, I looked up to see several figures creeping towards a first year. No one else seemed to notice them. The blond one pulled out a wickedly sharp knife. Still nobody noticed anything. He raised the knife above the kid's head and impulsively I sprang onto the table and lunged at him. I knocked him down and wrestled the knife outer of his hands. He stared at me in shock. "How can you see me?" He asked.

"What do you mean, of course I can see you, why wouldn't I be able to see you..." I trailed off. The whole room was staring at me and it sunk in. I was the only one who could see the six of them. Well, apart from the first year. He had got up and was staggering backwards saying "It wasn't me! Valentine framed me, I swear!" "Clary, are little help here," the blond one said and the redhead came forward, holding some sort of pencil. Then the hall gasped. I looked around. "Can you see him now? I'm not crazy!"

He got up and bowed. "The name's Jace Herondale. This is Clary Fairchild, Alec and Isabelle Lightwood, Simon Lewis and Gabbi Bassford. Sorry to drop in but it was urgent," he said calmly. I looked him in the eye in disgust. Murdering a kid was 'urgent', was it? What are you, animals?"

"We prefer the term Shadowhunters, or Nephelim," said the tall girl, Isabelle. "He was a werewolf suspected of slaughter of mundanes. The question is, how did you see us?"

"And they're not the only ones making an entrance!"

"Leo?"

I'm finally getting on to the interesting bit! Yay! Let me explain why there's a shadowhunter called Gabbi...
At school one of my friends asked me if they could be in my story. Then another and I couldn't turn her down because I'd said they'd previous could have a character. It carried on like this, so now
Gabbi's a Shadowhunter
Lucy's a werewolf
Issy, Sophia, and Jade are vampires
Phoebe's a Slytherin who's dating Malfoy
Sophie's a Slytherin with a crush on Malfoy (against her own will)
And Bianca's a party pony from Texas who loves MLP
