Chapter 6 — Dodgeball
"How can he do that to me Duk Gu." She cried blowing her nose slowly. Duk Gu was mesmerized by the crazy architecture she has in her house. "Its like I'm in France." Duk Gu said clearly tranced by her ceiling.
"Duk Gu!" She exclaimed with a puffy nose. "I'm embarrassed. Why did I ring his when he cannot ring mine? Thats fucked up, Duk Gu." She sniffled.
"I don't know where I did wrong? You said it yourself that I scare you sometimes, do you think I scared him too?" Ahyoung asked.
"Oh no no, I didn't mean a bad type of scare. Its a cute one. Look." He said showing her a picture of a shield. "My friend sent me one of these. Its what I installed to protect my heart from ringing to Gul Mi. Do you want it too?" He frowned.
"It can only be lifted by the developer. You won't ring when your crush is nearby." He said. The girl looked up at him slightly. "I can never ring again?" She asked. Duk Gu shook his head, "I can send it to you if you want."
"No no, thats okay. I'm fine." Deep down in her heart she didn't want to be the only one who can't ring in that ring-able world.
"Apples. Milady." Her servants said bringing them more snacks. "Thank you, and by the way. Hows with you and Gul Mi? Is she still bullying you?"
"I can give her a piece of my mind–"
"Thats okay." Duk Gu assured. "I know what you're capable of doing and Gul Mi is not worth it."
"You're just looking for someone to lash out on and maybe it works for you back then but you're not like that anymore. Isn't that true?" Duk Gu asked knowing that the girl was a walking ticking bomb.
She'll explode out in no time.
"Dodgeball sir. I would like us to play dodgeball." Shin Ahyoung said earning a few eager looks and worry looks from the students. "Dodgeball eh? That sounds amazing."
"Thats a great idea Ahyoung!" One of her classmates said. "Yeah! We haven't play one in a while. PE is starting to get boring." One student murmured.
"So its settled then. And to make it more fun." She said smiling. "Why don't we asked that class to join over there?" She smirked.
"Hey, what are you planning to do?" Sun Oh asked grabbing her arm. They both looked into each others eyes before she pulled her arms away. "None of your business."
"Hey! But thats Kim Jojos class." Sun Oh murmured. "Hey ladies, I'm having this amazing party at my place tonight. Want to come?" She asked turning to the ladies.
"Really?? Thats amazing! We would love to come!" One girl squealed as if she was talking to a celebrity. "Ah but first, you have to earn your invitation. One hit at Kim Jojo and you'll earn an invitation to my suite."
"Shall we?"
"Ahyoung, wheres Shin Ahyoung?" Hye Young said panting as he came inside her class. Shin Ahyoung was surrounded by students, she was like a queen in the center.
Hye Young felt like he don't even know this girl. "Ahyoung. Hey Ahyoung." Hye Young said gaining her attention. "Hye Youngi, what is it?" She asked sitting on top of the table crossing her legs.
"You are. What the hell? Kim Jojo is in the nurse office with bruises around her body? Was that your doing?" He said, furious at her. "Oh please, its a game of dodgeball, everyone had their own bruise." She rolled her eyes.
"Yeah but your class practically made her a walking target! What gives?! What is wrong with you?!" He said slamming his fist on the table.
It shocked Ahyoung and the rest of her classmates. He had never seen him angry before in her life. And he is scary like this. Ahyoung didn't like it one bit.
"Stop, you're scaring her." Sun Oh walks in. "And you, why'd you turn so blind eyed all of the sudden? You used to like Kim Jojo but its all Shin Ahyoung to you now huh?"
"Are you mad at me? Okay first of all, why are you accusing me? Clearly I didn't throw a single ball at her!" Ahyoung defended. "I know how your games work, Ahyoung. We've been friends for ages." Hye Young said.
"You both. Just stay away from her. I'm so disappointed in you, Ahyoung." And with that Hye Young laughed.
"Asshole." Ahyoung muttered. "As I was saying, spread this invitation in secret. Everyone is clearly welcome but remember, I have my standards. Don't tell your parents okay? Since my parents are in a vacation to Bora Bora."
"I'll see you tonight. Handsome." She winked giving Sun Oh the invitation. "Heh? Of course I'll be there. Wouldn't miss it for the world."
"Those are skimpy as hell." Sun Oh muttered as Ahyoung grinned. "It's a pool party after all?" She said. "Nope, you're not getting out like that. Theres boys in here." Sun Oh said giving her his shirt to wear.
"Aww, thats so nice of you Sun Oh." She chuckled. "Sick place." Sun Oh said looking around. "I haven't seen this place since I was eight." The boy muttered. "Wait you've been here?"
"Yeah, our moms are close friends. But you happen to be out doing ballet lessons when I got here, such a shame. I wanted to see mini Ahyoung." He smirked.
"Don't. Mini Ahyoungs hideous." She rolled her eyes. "She must be cute." Sun Oh said as he went closer to her. "I'm quite fond of every versions of you." He placed his hands on her hips.
"Hey guys, these are non alcoholic beverage ri–" Duk Gu paused when he saw them. "Ah! I'm sorry! Please continue!"
Sun Oh pulled his hands away blushing slightly. Ahyoung giggled looking down at her phone. "It didn't rang? Sun Oh you're such a playboy."
