"Yah! Y/N!" I snapped, my voice rising in frustration. "Ouch! Stop shouting in my ear," he groaned. I took a deep breath before blurting out, "Do you have feelings for me? Or are you just playing with mine?"

There was a brief silence before he scoffed. "What?! I think I should be the one asking you that." His tone was cold—colder than I expected. "W-What do you mean?" I asked, trying to match his tone.

He let out a dry chuckle. "You know I have feelings for you, Jennie. But I also know you have a boyfriend—my friend, Kai. I'm not about to ruin my friendship with him because of you. So, I think it's best if we just stay friends. Nothing more."

His words hit me like a slap.

"F*ck you, Y/N!" I spat, gripping my phone tightly. "Is that a command or what?" he teased, and I could practically hear the smirk in his voice. "You know I hate you," I hissed.

"I love you too," he replied smoothly. My heart skipped a beat—until he added, "But only as a friend now." "What??" I choked out. "Whatever, Kim Jennie. I gotta go now... since I have a date with your best friend."

Then, just like that, he hung up.

After posting that photo on Instagram, my phone blew up with notifications—DMs from fans asking about it. I ignored them all. Instead, I just sat there... and cried.

Maybe this is why he's been so cold to me. Because of me and Kai. Looking back, it all makes sense now—why he kept his distance when we were in Paris, why he spent more time with Rosé instead of me. He knew I was already taken.

I'm such an idiot. An idiot for falling for him. An even bigger idiot for not realizing he had feelings for me all along.
