"Another dimension? Like that one episode from My Little Unicorns where Sparkleface was visited by her future self from another dimension or some shit?"
"No, Wade." Peter said, bluntly. His brow furrowed. "That was just past and future dynamics. It never ended up being another dimension. That was a horrible example."
"Yeah, I guess it was dumb of me to compare us to fictional unicorns when we are, in fact, real people in a real world and aren't fictional at all."
Matt rose a hand to stop their chattering. Peter could spot a worried twitch of his mouth. "Peter, do you think you can get us back to our dimension?"
The brunet grimaced. "Maybe. I lost the gadget when we fell. I think it may be too busted to fix."
"Then we won't go back to get it." Matt continued. "Batman may be there. We don't want to be too cautious, especially since we're not familiar with this world."
Peter nodded. "Makes sense." Then, more regretfully: "I'm sorry for getting us into this mess you guys. I should've listened."
"Don't sweat it Pete." Wade chirped. "How else would the plot had progressed?"
Ignoring Wade's words, Peter placed a timid hand on his stomach. A raspy growl came from it.
"We need food." He said. "And maybe a place to sleep."
"I'm beat too." Matt agreed. He readjusted his goggles. "But I'm not sure if anywhere is safe right now. How about we explore a bit when the sun comes up?"
"The sun is already rising." Peter pointed out. He took his own goggles and tied them to his belt. The boy pursed his lips before adding sheepishly. "But uh... I guess you couldn't see that."
"Bastard."
"I promise I love you regardless, Matt."
"I know you do, squirt."

"Man, I'd kill for a chimichanga."
Peter sighed, rubbing at his aching eyes. Walking out in the open was sort of nerve-wracking, but their hoodies and jeans had made them look like any other children in the streets.
It wasn't like any of them had their weapons anyways. Well, save for Wade's katana hidden who-knows-where and Peter's webshooters.
"Wade, you'd kill for anything."
"I wouldn't kill for PETA."
"PETA does enough killing themselves."
"Quiet you two." Matt hushed his younger brothers. His arm rose and Peter linked their arms together before beginning to walk again. "I don't know if this place has chimichangas, Wade. Different dimensions, remember?"
"A world without chimichangas is really sad. Ooh! Ooh! Can we get chili dogs, Matt?"
"Let's play I-spy." Peter suggested, shrugging slightly. "The first person to find a hot dog cart gets extra cheese."
Wade rubbed his hands together. "Cow liquids."
The sky was azure, not a cloud to be seen. The sun was free to beat down its heat against the trio.
Peter grabbed Wade's arm with his free hand. "Do you think we should be finding out more about Batman? There could be other heroes like him, and help us get home."
"Not until we know he's not just a brooding sociopath with a kink for dress-up."
"Shut up Wade." Matt said for probably the thousandth time that day. "But you both have good points. Peter, if you can make a dimension-jumper with scraps of rubbish from a junkyard, then I'm sure you won't have a problem making one again?"
