2 days later:
____________

"Jack can you please just tell me where we're going" I giggled while he had his hands covering my eyes.

"You had me dress in jeans and a normal white top with sandals" I gasped and turned around, "are we going to the beach?" Jack laughed and shook his head. "No, and don't turn around again" he demanded. He spun me back around and covered my eyes.

"And who goes to the beach in jeans and a tee shirt?" He chuckled. "That's the only thing I could think of, can you please just tell me where we're going?" I whined.

He uncovered my eyes and we were in front of a small diner. "Leo's Place" i giggled and looked at him. I hit my lip and began to walk towards the entrence.

He caught up to me and held the door before I could even reach it.

I casually smiled and we asked for a table in the back. I hated tables but I was feeling spontaneous today. Getting out of my comfort zone was the point of this trip.

We sat down and saw a waitress headed in our direction. "Hi my names Lauren, I'm going to be your waitress for today." She smiled at us.

"Can I start you off with something to drink?" She kindly asked.

"Nah were gonna skip right to the main course" I laughed. She laughed as well and pretended to write down something. "Well I will bring your food right out then" she snickered. Me and her joined laughers again.

"Uhm do you guys have strawberry lemonade?" I asked. She clicked her tongue and her face saddened. I knew they didn't have it.

"I'm sorry hon, we unfortunately don't even have regular lemonade" she rolled her eyes and balanced herself on one arm that was on the table. I sucked my teeth and scanned the menu

"We have cherry coke" she smiled with her teeth. I giggled and shook my head. "And for your brother?" She glanced over at him. "I'm kidding I'm kidding, gosh I'm so sorry" she snickered. I told her it was okay and that I

loved her sense of humor. Jack on the other hand didn't look too pleased with her behavior.

"I'll just have a coke" he simply said without making eye contact. She looked me up and down and smiled at me. I smiled back and looked at Jack.

"What the hell is wrong with you, she was being funny" I rolled my eyes. He rolled his as well and ignored me. I scoffed.

The woman came back with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order yet.

"Actually I'll just get a plate of chili fries" I smiled at her. I turned to Jack and snickered, "maybe if you act right I'll share some with you" I winked at him. He shifted his eyes and scoffed. "I'll be back, I have to use the restroom, try to flirt with my girlfriend anymore while I'm gone" he threw his menu down onto the table.

My eyes widened and I apologized to her for his behavior. I have no clue what he was talking about. I got up to go check on him.

"Jack" I called out down the hallway.

I saw him enter the men's bathroom and I sighed. I walked back to the table and saw the waitress flirting with one of the bus boys.

I knew she wasn't flirting with me. She was playing with her hair and smiling at him. She was very clearly flirting with him.

Jack was overthinking and I don't blame him. But for him to act the way he did was unacceptable and not okay. I sat down and patiently waited for Jack to get back.

The waitress came back and saw he had yet to return.

"Did I upset your boyfriend, I swear I didn't mean any harm" she pouted. I felt so bad because Jack normally isn't like this. It kills me to see him act this way because of Samuel.

"He'll be okay, I'll just order for him" I beamed. She pulled her notepad out and told me whenever I'm ready. "Uhm he'll take a-" I was interrupted by Jack coming to the table.

"We're you really going to order my food for me?" He chuckled. I sat there and didn't really say anything. All I ordered was chili fries.

After all I didn't have much of an appetite.

"I'll just take a cheese burger with curly fries." He closed the menus and stacked mine and his on top of each other.

"Can we talk about your little meltdown before you left the table?" I looked around to make sure the waitress couldn't hear us.

She was giving the order to the cook.

"I have no clue what you're talking about" he played with the napkin in front of him.  I gritted my teeth and tightened my fist.

What was his problem? He's never acted like this before, so I don't understand. Does it have to do with Samuel, or maybe it's me. I sighed and kind of sat there.

I felt myself begin to feel sad. My eyes began to water but I didn't let one tear slip from my eyes. I didn't want to make a scene or cause a problem.

"I'll be right back" I stood up. Jack sat back in his chair and put his hand on his head.

On my way to the bathroom I felt a tap on my shoulder behind me. It was our waitress. I wiped my eyes and looked at her, sniffling.

"Hey, are you alright? You need me to call someone?" She put her hands on my shoulder.

"No it's not like that, he's just having a bad day I guess." I sniffled. "So am I apparently" I rolled my eyes. I excused my self and went to the bathroom.

I looked myself in the mirror and I wasn't ready. I wasn't ready to face Seattle again.

I didn't want to go back and see people I knew. People at work. None of it. I just wanted to stay here and never leave.

I wiped my eyes and walked out of the bathroom. "Hey" I heard behind me. I'm guessing it was the waitress.

I was once again confused. She gave me a small piece of napkin and I fixed my stance.

I knew what it was before I ever looked at it.

"This is my number, you know" she spaced.

"In case this doesn't work out for you. Maybe you can switch teams" me rubbed her hands on my shoulder. I moved weird and kind of jumped. I went back to the table and told Jack I just wanted to finish our food and leave.

He questioned  me but I told him I'd tell him when me got in the car. He shook his head and told me he understood.

Now I see why Jack acted the way he did. He had every right to. I mean if a girl knows when a girl like her boyfriend don't you think a boy will know when a girl likes his girlfriend?
