I couldn't stop thinking about Reggie. My stomach was just in a knot every time i thought about him, i just simply couldn't shake the feeling of someone hurting him or forcing him to do things he doesn't want to do. I noticed Cristina was a complete mess, but she didn't want me knowing that. I know she thinks i don't care about her, but that's not true, whatsoever. i still love her.
I know it doesn't seem like it recently. That's only because she isn't letting me fix things. I thought she'd be fine with this, just like she said she would a week ago. I don't understand why she felt a change of heart last minute. I really thought this would end up working out, but this took a completely different turn. I felt so awful about her not really having anyone in her corner but that's because she isn't letting anyone be there for her. I know the only person she really wants right now is Reggie, and she can't have him right now.
"Mr. Gilinsky, NYPD just left a message in your office." My assistant informed me. I shook my head and got up right away. I thanked her and smiled while quickly hurrying back to my office. I didn't even bother listening to the voicemail they left, i just got all my things and called Taylor immediately. He drove me down to the police office where i seen Cristina standing there. She looked surprised to see me down here for some reason. "What are you doing here?" She asked.
"What the hell do you mean? They called me because i'm his father." I exclaimed. She scoffed and turned back around the way she was facing before. I seen a lady and two men begin to head towards us. "I need the both of you to come back here with me." She looked and pointed to the room behind where Cristina was sitting. She and i got up and followed the officers into the room.
"So what's this about? You never specified what happened or why you need us down here." I asked them glancing at Cristina. "Well me may or may not have a lead on who's got you child." They informed. "We managed to pick up the license plate number from a camera up by our traffic light outside the hotel you were staying at." The lady told Cristina. I just stood beside one of the men and listened to what they had to say. "So did you find out who the car belonged to?" Cristina interrupted the woman. "Did you?" She stood up quickly.
"I'm so sorry for her, she'd has a rough couple of days, i mean we have no lead on who would've taken our son and its been 3 days now and we have no idea if he's even alive." i lashed out at them. Cristina looked at me and folded her arms, silently sitting there. "The car belongs to a man named Edison Tuscan." They turned over to us. "Why the hell are you looking at me like that?" I asked a bit rude. "Do you recognize this man?" They asked both Cristina and i. Both of us shook our heads no. "He's in the system which means he has a criminal record." They informed again. "Was was he arrested for before, can you tell us?" Cristina wondered hovering over the table where the computer was.
"He was arrested previously for underage drinking, possession of marijuana, supplying minors with alcohol and a bunch of parking tickets." She scrunched up her nose at the end. "Wait a minute su-supplying minors with alcohol? and underage drinking?" Cristina looked over it again. "Wait a minute, how old is this guy?" I asked concerned. "According to this he's 31 years old, hes had a criminal record since he was 15, which is why he's in the system." The much older man stated. "Do you have his address? can you arrest him like now?" Cristina began hyperventilating.
i calmed her down as much as i possibly could and told her that they need a warrant first in order to do anything. They can't just go in there and arrest him just because someone was driving his car, it could've been stolen. They need solid proof in order to take any legal action. "So what can we do for now?" Cristina began crying. She wiped her face and i grabbed her hand. For once she didn't snatch it from my grasp nor did she smack me. She gripped my hand and smiled at me. I hadn't gotten one of those from her in forever. I thought i'd never see her smile again. "Well for now just stay home and try to distract yourself from what's going on right now" The female police officer warned us. But that's what she's been doing for days now.
"Wait, i thought you said there were two people involved in this. That he was working with someone, do you have any information on them?" Cristina shockingly said. I was not aware of this. Shit, i knew i should've listened to the voicemail. "We arent sure yet, but if this is the guy, then he definitely wasn't working alone." They told us. Cristina and i looked at each other, she leaned into my chest and i wrapped my arms around her and began rubbing her back.
Well we're one step closer to finding out what happened and where he is, that's the only good thing about this. I'm sure we'll find them in no time, then jail for both of them and i can finally get my family back. Or at least attempt to get them back, it'll be a start. i hope.
