Cristina; Pt22

Saturday:

I woke up and instantly checked on the kids. It felt so weird but I had to get used to it if I wanted to be a mom anytime soon.

I checked and saw Jack was still asleep beside me. He looked so peaceful sleeping.

I got up and put on my robe. I tied it around my waist and checked in the room. Mitchie and Ruben were still sleeping.

Jupiter was wide awake sitting on the edge of the bed. She looked kind of sleepy still but at the same time wide awake.

"Hey sweetie? I didn't know you were up" I folded my arms and sat at the edge with her.

"We should make breakfast. So that everyone wakes up to food" she giggled.

I took her advice and grabbed her hand and we tip toed out the room. Making sure not to wake anybody.

"We should make eggs, sausage and bacon with waffles" she grinned. "Why not pancakes?" I questioned.

"Mitchie doesn't eat pancakes, she said they get soggy too quick" she frowned. "Well why don't we get waffles for Mitchie and then you and Ruben get pancakes" I winked.

"We have to go to the store though, because we don't have ANY of those things" I chuckled.

We went up to the room and I changed her clothes. I picked out a light purple top with a white butterfly on it and white shorts It was just starting to clear up from the rain a few days ago so why not shorts.

After all it is the middle of May.

I helped her with her socks and shoes and put on her jacket. She slid off the bed and I grabbed her hand and lead her into my room. Jack was up and he sat up on the bed.

"Where are you going?" He questioned. I grabbed a black sweater and threw on some grey joggers, along with white sneakers.

"I'm going to get breakfast" I smiled. I heard my phone ring on the dresser and asked Jupiter to bring me it.

"Who is it?" Jack asked. I told him to be quiet and same with Jupiter. "Hello?" I answered politely. "Uhm, i didnt- no I didn't know Im so sorry" I rushed over to my closet and changed my clothes. I grabbed a dark blue woman's pantsuit and grabbed blue heels to match.

"Okay yea I'll be right there" I smiled and hung up. "Fuck" i hurried into the bathroom to shower and change. "Who was that?" Jack rushed into the bathroom as well.

"That was work, something happened in the department and they need me in ASAP" I hurried and took my clothing off. I turned on the shower and made sure the temperature was right. I hopped in and immediately started washing my hair with shampoo.

"Wait- who is going to watch the kids?" He said worried. I stopped and opened the shower. "Fuck i forgot, uhm I'll take them with me then, I'm sorry I had no idea they were gonna call me in today. I thought I still had an entire week left" I groaned.

"No no, I uhm-" Jack stuttered.

"I'll watch them, I don't work for the rest of the weekend. I got them." He insisted. I looked at him and asked if he was sure. "Yeah yeah I got it trust me" he smiled. He gave me a peck on the lips before closing the door to the shower.

I had no fucking idea they were gonna call me in. I felt so bad just dumping the kids on Jack.

If this is what it's gonna be like of course he isn't going to want to have kids with me. I finished up in the shower and grabbed my towel. I got dressed and blow dried my hair.

I put on my clothes and brushed out my hair, setting my brush on my dresser.

I grabbed my keys and slipped on my shoes. I walked downstairs and saw Jack and Jupiter laughing on the couch. She was sitting on his lap and they were watching cartoons.

I leered cheerfully at them, "okay, well I should be home around 7 maybe 7:30." Jack simply nodded and jibed at Jupiter. I could tell that they were getting along well.

Hopefully this will show Jack that maybe we are ready for kids. Not now but maybe in a year or two. It'll at least get him thinking about it.

That's all I really wanted honestly.

For him to consider that option.

I love him and I want him to want those things same as me. Maybe not at the same time but I want to know we're on the same page about children at least. What harm can that do?

He's gonna be a good dad, I just know it. I can sense that he'll be great with kids.
