Listen to the musical "Dear Evan Hansen" its hecking amazing.
Its kinda confusing but its about a boy named Connor who commits suicide. The main character Evan, is in loe with Connor's sister, and uses this as a way to pretend him and Connor were friends to get close to the sister and family. He fabricates emails to try and prove they were friends (they like barely knew eachother actually). So Connor's fake suicide note ends up online, and then Evan becomes a star and goes viral to a video about lonliness and depression and speaking up. As he spends time with Connor's family, and is in the spotlight he loses his connection with his real family. Eventually, he does come clean and everyone pretty much hates him.
Its kinda dark, but I like it. Connor is a crackhead btw. He did drugs, skipped school, fought with everyone. Etc etc. Evan is a shy kid who didnt have any friends. :)
I definitely recommend this and a few other musicals :
Beetlejuice, Wicked, Anastasia, and Hamilton. These 5 are my favorite musicals right now. Evan is number one though.
