All-District is coming up, which is for band. Here, ill explain it first.
You are given sheets of music to play, scales, and a few other things. You play in front of a few judges. They dont face you, you cant make any noise to indicate its you, and if you do you have to leave and come back later. Heels and jewelry are not recommended. So you play for the judges, and they judge you. The people who reach the extremely high mark make it in a band. Its a band of the best. You spend a day or so (if you make it) learning tips from professionals of your instrument, play with them, stay at a hotel, learn a lot of new things. Its a big deal.
So im a Percussionist at my school, and we havent had a Percussionist make it in three years. There is me and two other percussionists that are auditioning from my school. There is a lot of pressure. Mr. Clifford, the one who taught me how to play percussion, thinks I definitely am gonna make it, but its hecking scary. So i have a lot of pressure, cause both my band director and him have their bets on me. :,) so im hecka busy practicing for that.
Also fun fact, i played one of the pieces of music that we have to play for all district for mr. Clifford. This was so he can give me critiques to work on. And after he did this, he looked at me and did something like this :

And acted like a proud father and I will forever call him a weirdo. And thats my percussion teacher for you. Also, dance competition season is starting so i have all district and 3 dance competitions coming up. Jan, Feb, March for dance, less then a month between each. Its November 7, All district is Dec 14th :,)
