10 YEARS LATER

"Mommy!!" He started tugging on my arm.
"I'm coming, I'm coming" I laughed.
"Can I get this one?!" He pointed at the adorable little puppy in the glass window.
"She's adorable!! Well can he?" I asked my husband.
"I don't see why not," Alex smiled.
When I got back from everything that happened 10 years ago, Alex was there for me. He helped me everytime I fell apart. Everytime those horrible memories came back to me. I hadn't even known him before I was kidnapped.
After a year, he wanted a relationship. I had moved into an apartment away from my mother and closer to him, but I wasn't ready, so he waited.
He said he would wait forever if that's what it took. He proved that I could trust him.
After two more years, I finally said yes. We dated for about 2 years when he asked me to marry him. I said yes.
After another year, Jordan was born. Healthy and glowing.
It is Jordan's birthday today and he is turning 3 today. Next week, I will be 26 and Alex will be 27 a month after.
Alex wants another child, a daughter this time. All we can do is hope.
I am so happy with my life.
"Yay!!!" Jordan cheered. We asked the clerk for the puppy and paid.
"What do you want to name her?" Alex asked him.
"Cherry!" Jordan laughed.
"Alright then," I smiled, " Her name is Cherry."
So I went home. To my real home. With my family. Including our new family member Cherry and the thoughts of a new family member in my head.
Then, I had my happily ever after.
