Chapter 18

Jungkook 's apartment only reminded him of Taehyung and the last night they made love. Only cleaning would divert his thoughts so he did just that. Afterwards he was too  tired so he slept like a baby.

The next morning, he wore a formal outfit ready to go and end his marriage. His lawyer was already waiting for him outside the building. They drove together to the courtroom were they met Taehyung and his lawyer.

Jungkook 's glare was cold enough to chew Taehyung 's bones while he looked like he had lost a few pounds since the last time they met. They got inside without exchanging any words and the session started.

"Mr Kim Jeon ,you said you didn't want anything from Mr Kim as alimony. Is that true?"the judge asked.

"Yes, your honour "

"Mr Kim what was the reason why you signed the divorce papers when you clearly didn't want it?"

Taehyung regarded Jungkook before answering "That's what  he wanted. I still want  this marriage to work "

"Can I have some time to talk with your respective lawyers in private "

Jungkook didn't even look at Taehyung even once .He only lifted up his head when the judge and the lawyers came back.

"I have come to a decision after the discussion with your lawyers. You are going to stay married for six months longer. This is to make sure that you decided what you really want. If after six months you decide that a divorce is what you  want then the court will grant  it for you "

Jungkook was rendered speechless while there was a hint of hope in Taehyung 's eyes. Jin flashed a smile in Taehyung 's eyes.

"Married couples live together you know that don't you. We will have people watch you so see that you are actually trying to get along. "the judge said and was definitely lying about the last past.

This was just a nightmare to Jungkook. He was going to have to entertain Taehyung for another six months and probably not go ahead with the divorce after the period.

When they were outside they stood like strangers  .

"Taehyung why don't you take Jungkook home. Kangmin will drive me don't worry "

"I have to pick up my stuff from my apartment "

"I will send  someone  to get them for you. Let's go"

"You think you have won right? Well I don't think so.You better be ready about what's gonna come "Jungkook said as he got into Taehyung 's passenger 's seat.

"They are cute "Jin mumbled.

Taehyung also got into the  car and helped Jungkook with his seatbelt. "I didn't eat this morning. Should we go somewhere? "

"I rather you don't talk to me  at all, Taehyung "

"I know you favorite place. Let's go there "

"Don't act like you know me"

"I do know you Jungkook. I know everything about you. I  know you don't want to divorce me either "

"But it's necessary "he urged.

"Why  is that?"

"I'm the one who ruined everything and  made  it seem like it's your fault "

"I thought we were over that "Taehyung bit out.

"Well I'm not. You said  that you loved me despite being mean and selfish. Yet you went and betrayed me the next morning and your guy shot me .I should have just died instead "

"Don't say that "

"But that's what I feel "

"You are hungry and angry and you don't know what you are saying "

"I'm not crazy "he yelled.

"I didn't say that Kookie "

"Not with the petty names again "

"You said you liked it."

"Well not anymore. Right now you are just creeping me out "

"I will try not to do that "

"Let's go over some ground rules. 1.You will not touch me. In other words  no sex.2.I need my own space. Which means I will use my own room. 3.You won't act like my husband and be overhearing "

"I don't have to act like your husband  because I'm already your husband "

"Well not for long "

"Don't I get to make my own ground rules? "

"No , you can't "

"That's mean"

"Well this is me.Get to know the real me"

"Should I? "

Jungkook ended up agreeing to go for brunch with Taehyung because he also hadn't eaten in the morning .Taehyung was happier than he had been  in months .He had a chance to make things work between  himself  and Jungkook.

Taehyung 's house hadn't changed much since two  years back. Happy and sad memories started flooding Jungkook 's mind but he just couldn't help feel that he was at home ,where he belonged with this man.

Jungkook 's family was happy to hear about the news when he told them that night after settling into Taehyung 's house. He could hear his older sister literally fan girl in the background. Just seeing them happy made him smile.

A month later Yoongi and Hoseok returned from Jeju after Jungkook  had finally gotten in touch with them. They were happy to hear from him.Things were fine between Taehyung and him because Taehyung followed all the rules like a good boy and Jungkook didn't have any reason to be mean to him.He was also putting in  much effort on taking him out on dates .

All hell broke lose when Jimin showed up and their place .Jungkook was hurt and disappointed but he didn't act on it until the said male had left.

"Why is he here? "Jungkook started.

"I know what it looks like but it's not what you are thinking .I hadn't told him that you were here "

"So him shooting me is nothing to you because he is your friend or you were in on it together "

"Jungkook I would never want to hurt you please believe me "

"Then why isn't he in prison "Jungkook screamed.

"He was allowed to get out on bail"

"And you were more than happy  to get him out even after what he did to me.Evidently he means a lot to you than  I do.I mean nothing to you Taehyung and that's why you put someone else about me."

"It's not like that. He is just my friend "

"Is that why you let him get away with stuff?"

"No...!"Taehyung cried .

"You know what Taehyung .I had thought that maybe we had a chance but Jimin constantly reminds  me that we can't. Ever.As far as friends are concerned, I  also have a few of my own. Thanks for dinner anyways. My appetite has been ruined. "

"I'm sorry "

"Just tell me what he is you exactly. ?Did you date him? No wonder he hates me .It all makes sense now "Jungkook faked a thoughtful expression.

"We never had that kind of relationship. It's because we have been friends from birth '

"I understand. I'm sorry for being a crazy bitch"Jungkook 's tone was laced with sarcasm.

"You don't sound sorry though "Taehyung 's eyes narrowed.

"Because I'm not "Jungkook spat.
