I climb into the back seat and buckle the seatbelt once more. I adjust my legs and let the driver know it's okay to leave now.

The car begins to exit the parking lot. I take this opportunity to text my friend Zoe to let her know I'll meet her in front of the school gates. I plug in my headphones and start some music and I place my phone in my blazer pocket.

After what feels like an eternity, the car comes to a halt and I climb out. I sweep my hair to the side and adjust my blazer. As I am doing this, I hear a familiar voice call out to me. "(Y/N)!!! Over here!" I turn to face the direction of the voice, and just as expected, I see my close (and only) friend Zoe. "Hi Zoe, have you had a good morning?" I ask while approaching her slightly shorter form. She nods.

After quite a bit of idle chitchat, the bell rings and we head inside. It's the first day of the second semester.

'I hope this goes by better than I am expecting.'

Zoe and I head in opposite directions to go to our lockers. I do the usual before class stuff and I head to class. I enter without hesitation and I make my way to an isolated seat in the corner.

The teacher is yelling at the class to be quiet. He mentioned some new students, however this failed to catch my interest. I tap my fingers idly and lean my head on my other palm.

'Hehe, I'm supposed to be introducing myself'

Excited whispers break out as soon as the words 'new student' leave the teachers mouth. All of which are mainly along the lines of "are they a girl or boy?" Or "I wonder if they're hot," I take no particular interest.
