Alexis looked at Max and then at Josh. "If anything has happened to Ella or that baby, I promise. There will be hell to pay," she warned.

Max grabbed his car keys and looked at Alexis. "Let's go. We need to know if Ella, Tom
and the baby are okay."

Alexis looked at Josh. "You haven't gotten away with this. I promise you now."

The ambulance had gotten Ella from the car. She was being given a quick check up before she was taken to the hospital.

Ella looked over at Tom's lifeless body. "Is he going to be okay?" She asked.

"He'll be fine. Let's concentrate on you and baby."

Ella nodded and was taken to the back of the ambulance.

Alexis and Max were already at the hospital by the time Ella was there. Alexis ran over. "El. Are you okay?" She asked. She frowned when she saw the blood on Ella's head.

Ella nodded. "I'm fine. I don't know about Tom though," she mumbled. She saw the look of upset that came over Alexis' face.

Alexis took her hand. "I promise that everything is going to be okay. Let's get baby checked out."

Max looked at Alexis. "When were you going to tell me about the fact you're in love with Tom?" He asked.

Alexis frowned and looked at him. "What are you talking about?"

"You know what I'm talking about Alexis. You're in love with Tom. I'm not stupid. I've seen the way you look at him."

Alexis sighed. "Max. Now isn't the time to talk about this. My sister is in there. She could lose her baby."

Ella had been taken for a CT scan. While she was waiting for the results of that, she had an ultrasound to check on the baby.

Ella was anxious as the midwife was struggling to find a heartbeat. She felt herself get emotional when all of a sudden a faint heartbeat was heard.

Ella sighed in relief. "Is everything okay?" She asked.

The midwife smiled and nodded. "Yes. Everything seems fine. We'll keep you in for a couple of hours to keep an eye on baby. But I'm confident that little one is okay."

Alexis walked into Ella's room. She saw her sister hooked up onto a machine. "What's happened?"

"They're keeping me in for a few hours to keep an eye on the baby. But seemingly it's okay."

Rachel arrived at the hospital. She had Adam with her. Ella felt anxious around him. Alexis took Ella's hand. "It's okay."

Rachel sighed. "If you were bleeding, you should have gone to Alexis. Not Tom," she told her.

Ella rolled her eyes. "What do you mean if I were bleeding. I was! Why else do you think I was on my way here? For the fun of it?"

"I didn't say that Ella. I'm just saying you should have gone to Alexis."

Ella shook her head. "Just leave me alone. I can't handle this."

Later on that evening, Ella had been discharged. But Tom had slipped into a coma. Would be be okay?
