Ella knew how things were when it came to her and Max. She knew that there was this connection between them. And she didn't know what to think.

All that she knew was that she cared for Max. And how they were getting closer and he had been there for her.

Ella knew that she was glad over it. But she knew that he was still her sister's ex and it was still complicated and she didn't know what to think over it all. She knew how it was a mess. And how it wasn't easy.

Ella sighed as she lay in bed texting Max. She knew how close that they were getting. And she knew that she needed to sort her head out over what was going on between them.

Ella sat up from her bed as she got dressed for work. She knew that she needed to try and focus on her job. And not what could be happening with her and Max.

Ella knew her head was a mess about it all. But she knew that she didn't want to mess her relationship with her sister up more than anything.

She knew how she wanted everything to be okay. And she knew even Alexis had told her it was okay.

Ella walked into the kitchen and sighed. She made herself a coffee as she checked her work emails.

She knew that she was thinking about Max and it was scaring her just how much she liked him.

Ella got to work. She was stood in the staffroom. She looked to see Alexis as she waked in. She looked to her and smiled. "Hey. Are you okay?" Alexis asked.

Ella looked to her. "I'm good."

"You look happy. Does it have anything to do with max?" Alexis asked.

Ella looked to her and smiled. "This is weird to talk about with you. He's your ex."

"Ex being the word. You're my sister. And I want you to be happy. If it's max then so be it. Look you deserve happiness. And I won't let me and Max, what happened with us in the past hold you back," she said as Ella looked to her and smiled. 

Ella knew how supportive Alexis was being and she was glad. She was glad that she had her support. But part of her was scared to be more with Max .

She was scared that she'd be the one to end up hurt in the end.

Ella walked into the office and looked to Max and smiled. "So I have been thinking about everything. About us. And I know that it's complicated. And it scares me. But I do think we could have something. And we could make it work if you want too," Ella said.

Max looked to her for a moment as he stood up and walked over to her. He placed a hand on her cheek and smiled. "I do. I want this. I want you," he said as he leant in and kissed her.

Ella kissed him back and pulled him close. She had no idea just what this was the start of between them.
