"Hyung?"

Seokjin whined, eyes slowly opening. He yawned, rubbing away the remainders of sleep.

"How are you hyung?"

"I don't know", he replied in a soft voice, a pout visible on his lips. Hobi would have cooed if not for the serious situation.

"Do you want to go home? Or stay and talk some more?" He asked, not wanting his hyung to push himself.

Seokjin slowly sat up, thinking for a few minutes before replying, "Wanna talk."

"Okay, but drink a glass of water first", he requested, offering him the said thing. Seokjin nodded, accepting it.

"How is- oh, hello", Yoongi said as soon as he entered the small room, "Did you have a nice sleep, hyung?"

"Don't call me hyung", Seokjin replied quickly and in a whisper. The man himself froze for a second, shocked at what he just said, "I- What-"

"It's okay, we understand", Hobi smiled reassuringly. He didn't understand, not at all, but he will get his answers soon.

"Will we be going home or to the doctor?"

"Doctor", Seokjin replied, standing up, "Let's go."

They walked together, Yoongi opening the door for them. Namjoon was sitting on a couch nearby, a thick book on his lap. He looked up when the door creaked shut.

"Dr. Lee will be coming in a minute", he informed, smiling gently at Seokjin, "How are you, h-"

"He is good, wanted to talk to Dr. Lee", Hobi interjected. Namjoon frowned, not understanding the look he gave him but smiled nonetheless, choosing to stay quiet.

"Ah, I see Jin is awake."

They turned their heads to find the doctor entering. He put a diary on his desk, taking out the chair to sit down.

"So, what do you wish to do now?" he directed his question to Jin.

"I wish to talk", the younger replied, sitting down on the same chair he sat about an hour ago, "I have more questions."

"Of course."

"Who is Jinnie? Is he my subconscious? Another part of me? And how did I not know he was with me since my childhood?"

"Jinnie is an alter, and an alter is a completely different person. Let me make it a little simple: imagine your mind connected to a virtual environment, much like in The Matrix. When you're the only person, you don't live in the virtual environment, you live in the real environment. But when the mind finds itself in a life threatening situation, it connects another life to this virtual environment. This life, this mind doesn't belong to another body, but it's memories are of another person. Mind... is strong, and very unpredictable. It creates a whole another person who can have different face, body, religion, culture, ethnicity, mother tongue. Some alters can be blind, and when they come out, the body goes blind as well. Some alters aren't even human, they can be dragons or mermaids or even dolls. And Jinnie is a child, he has been living in the virtual environment probably alone for a very long time. Maybe he doesn't know how to communicate with you. Maybe he comes out when the mind finds need for him."
