"You seriously are going to be late," I laugh against his lips.

"Just one minute, I swear," he kisses me again.

I place a hand against Axel's chest stopping him, we don't wanna get caught again like last time.

He pouts before shaking his head and placing a kiss on the side of my head and running off for his class.

The reason he needed to reach class earlier was because his homeroom teacher was really strict, mine still didn't know I existed.

I lazily take some books from my locker when a hand taps my shoulder.

I turn around to find an anxious Max and I already knew what this was about.

This year, on the M&Ms' birthday, one of them was going to become human and the other a God. Obviously, it wasn't an easy decision.

"Calm down," I assure him.

"I can't. I've tried. Really, I feel like my head's spinning. Just talk to me about anything else."

"Remember when I said I'll take you guys to a salon and get your legs waxed, so you'll understand the pain of it? That's today," I try to divert his attention.

He ignores my statement. "You do realize that IF I become a God, I won't be allowed to see any of you, including Mase, right?"

"Maxy, I know but-" before I can complete my sentence, a throbbing pain shoots through my arm.

"Where'd that bruise come from?" he asks me, concern painting his eyes.

He doesn't need to worry about this right now, so I lie. "I'm such a klutz, you know me."

"Right," he drawls.

"I gotta run. See you later." I get out of there, my arm felt like it was on fire.

I run towards my class and proceed to take my usual seat next to Scar. The new boy I saw in the morning, who may be moving into the house opposite Hunter's, sits on my right.

Scar looks up at me after a few seconds. "Are you okay?"

I nod, because I'm certain if I speak, it won't end well.

Suddenly he holds my arm. "Where'd you get that bruise from?" he whispers.

"I just bumped into the door this morning." I pull my arm away and the teacher walks in.

He gives me a suspicious look but turns to his books anyways.

A few minutes later, a hand nudges me slightly.

"Yeah?" I ask the new boy.

"Hey. I'm Chase, I was wondering if you could help me with this question?" his
is warm brown eyes looked into mine.

"Oh, sure. I'm Juliet, by the way."

His demeanor changes but he recollects himself quickly.
