AN: Flashback continued...

Monroe's pov
"There's another leader!" I barged into Fury's office.
"Come in." Fury responds with a sarcastic remark.
"I'm being serious."
"So am I."
I rolled my eyes and continued. "The guy I saw in the beginning was a secondary leader. He was sent in to do the main guy's dirty work."
"And you know this how?"
"I had a vision a few minutes ago of him watching Tony work. Once I got a glimpse of his glare and saw how everyone lowered their head as he walked by, it clicked. I just can't believe it took three months to figure it out."
"Was he suspicious?"
"It definitely looked like he knew something was up."
"Okay, I need you to go back in. Make sure he doesn't figure Stark out."
"I think it's too late..."
"Why's that?"
"I can feel Tony's anxiety increasing."
"This wolf bond thing works wonders doesn't it?"
I nervously chuckled, trying to keep my cool, "to an extent." I focused on Tony's anxiety coursing through my veins and used it to help me fall back into another vision. Just like that, I was standing near Tony as guns were pointed at him. He was lying through his teeth, convincing the leader to leave Yinsen unharmed.
"He's made a deadline," I inform.
"When?"
I came back to my surroundings with dull ocean eyes, "Tomorrow."
"Keep tabs on Stark."
"Always am, sir."
Time Skip
Nat, Fury, Coulson and I were sat in a conference room. Just the four of us with blinds closed to avoid anyone peering in.
"What are you feeling?" Coulson asks.
"Heavy..."
"He must have the armor on," Nat states. Knowing how I feel about Tony, she gently squeezes my hand to calm me.. Fury is laid back waiting for a vision to occur. Coulson is guiding me through the process while Fury waits for intel.
"His stress levels are rising."
"I don't blame him." Fury declares. My fangs bared. I sensed panic.
"Something's wrong," I inform them. Nat get's pulled in the vision with me from the hand in hand contact. She doesn't pull away so that I don't face it alone. We both stood watching different codes being punched in to activate the suit. Yinsen then grabbed a gun lying on the floor to buy Tony some time as the progress bar loaded. A few seconds later, the lights went out. "Shit."
"What happened?" Coulson investigates.
"I can't see. The lights are out." I waited for my eyes to adjust to the little to no light that was given. I saw three armed men creep closer when one was suddenly pushed far back into the cave's wall.
"It works!" I smile.
"Now the question is how long will it last?" Fury questions. Bullets flew through the air hitting Tony, but no damage. Nat and I followed behind. More men were thrown back from trying to take him down, but none succeeded. A door was then kicked down to free his pathway. One man stayed to attack as the rest scurried away. After being knocked down, the suit's arm caught itself in the cave's wall. My heart raced noticing another man aim a gun to Tony's head. My grip on Nat's hand tightened. The trigger was pulled, but the bullet ricocheted into his own head. I let out a breath of relief.
"How's he doing?" Fury intervenes.
"He's alive, but he's not done yet," I say confidently. Continuing to follow, we came across a very injured Yinsen and the main leader of the kidnappers.
"Is that him?" Nat asked.
"Yes."
Something flew passed us and caused an explosion. Tony raised his arm and fired a tiny missile of his own, causing another explosion. The enemy was knocked out which allowed Tony to turn his back and try to bring Yinsen with him.
'Thank you for saving me'
'Don't wast- don't waste your life, Stark'
"Yinsen is dead..." I informed Fury. I let go of Nat's hand, causing her to lose sight of the vision. I, however, proceeded to follow Stark.
"He's made it out, but they're firing at him."
"Did he survive?" I stay silent, not quite knowing my answer yet. I watched every bullet hit and none punched a single hole. "Monroe, did Stark survive?"
"Yes," I state bluntly, watching his next move. Fire was blown out from the suit. Some backed up in time while others were caught in it. Stark walked down and burnt all the shipments of his weapons. Bullets started coming for the armored man, catching him off guard. A few hit the suit at its vulnerable points. Luckily, all of the explosives heated up enough to burst. "He's lifting off." I looked up into the air, watching him escape.
"The suit can fly?" Fury sounded impressed.
"Indeed, sir,"
My fangs retracted knowing no one could've possibly survived. Not even seconds later, he began falling rather than flying. The flames overpowered me as my face went pale.
"No!" I shouted. I jolted in my seat and was ripped from my vision. Worry was written across my face as the three waited for an explanation. "Stark escaped, but once he was in the air, he began plummeting to the ground. I know he's not dead. If he was I'd feel it, but he could be badly injured. Lost in the middle of the desert. We have to-"
I was cut off by my phone. Looking at the caller ID, I quickly answered.
"Julia, we found him," tears stung my eyes as he continued, "We're bringing him home. I'll send you where you can pick him up."
"Thank you..." I said in barely a whisper, trying to compose myself. I look up at Fury once the call ended. "He survived."
"Coulson," Fury demanded.
"On it." He replied. I rushed out to find Happy so we could bring Tony home. Coulson followed closely behind informing about the Avenger's initiative. Only half the words he spoke processed in my brain, my excitement to see Tony was off the rails.
"I'm so sorry Phil, but I have to go pick up my boss at the air force unit." I cut him off.
I can't wait to see him.
