The snake that loved the wolf(Cobra/Erik X OC Fanfiction)

Ch7

Erik's pov

I opened my eye, my entire body throbbing in pain. I felt something wet lapping at my body as I flicked my gaze down. I saw water lapping at me.

I pushed myself up, wincing at the action, my arms shakily holding me up. I looked around and saw Iwaki, still in her wolf form with blood staining the water around her red.

I pulled myself over and checked for a heartbeat. I could hear the faint drum of her heart. "Iwaki? C- *cough* can you hear me?" I asked. She didn't respond.

"I need to get you help" I thought aloud. Using as much strength as I could muster, I hoisted her up in my arms. Since I was still kneeling in the water, I struggled to my feet.

I quickly realised that my right leg was in so much pain and wasn't responding to what I wanted it to do.

I growled under my breath but proceeded to practically drag myself in the direction of Magnolia. They had a healing mage so I'm sure she could heal Iwaki.

It took what felt like ages but was probably only like 20 minutes to get to Magnolia since we were pretty close already.

People were staring at me as I stumbled through the streets and I could hear what they were thinking.

'Is that Cobra from the oracion seis?'
'Why does that guy have a wolf?'
'What happened to him?'

And other things as well. I finally made it the doors of Fairy tail and leaned against one with my back so I could push it open.

Everyone looked at me when I entered. "Iwa- *cough cough* she needs.... Help" I explained before everything went black.

Wendy's pov

Cobra coughed out a sentance before collapsing to the ground in a mangled mess of himself and the wolf he'd brought in. I ran over. "He needs to be taken to the infirmary" I explained, noticing the trickle of water escaping his slightly parted lips.

Natsu picked the tanned man up while Gajeel picked up the wolf as we took them up to the infirmary. Both were placed on a bed as I looked over Cobra.

"He's split his head open, done something to his leg and dry drowning" I explained.

"Dry drowning?" Natsu asked. "He has water in his lungs" I explained. Gramps walked in with Porlyusica who rushed over and started looking at Cobra.

"We need to get the water out of his lungs. If we don't then he'll die" she explained. "How do we do that?" Gramps asked.

Porlyusica ran her hand over the tanned man's chest before placing her ear against it. "Being a dragon slayer, his lungs are larger than that of a regular mage and from the sound, there's a lot in there, I'm surprised he managed to make it so far as it is" she explained.

"Do I need to use my magic?" I asked. "No. We need someone who can push down on his lungs with a lot of pressure so that he'll cough it all up" she explained, looking at Natsu and Gajeel.

"I'll do it. Better than letting the guy die. He did help us after all" he grumbled. "You should stand on the opposite side of where his head is facing unless you want to get covered in water" Porlyusica explained.

Gajeel stood on the same side of me and placed both hands on his chest and pressed down hard once, twice, three times but nothing. "He isn't responding" Gajeel stated. "Keep going  Gajeel" Gramps ordered.

Gajeel did another 3 but still nothing. He pushed down a fourth time and we finally got a response. Cobra coughed up a massive amount of water, making a large puddle on the floor. Gajeel pulled his hands back.

"Keep going. It's not all out" Porlyusica ordered, pressing on Cobra's lungs. Gajeel pushed down again andd Cobra coughed up another large batch of water. Gajeel did it a third time and Cobra coughed up more water but this time less.

"One more should do it" she explained. Gajeel pressed down one final time and Cobra coughed up a very tiny amount of water.

"Wendy. Check the wolf" I nodded and checked it. "It's been poisoned, injured and is also dry drowning" I explained. "Alright. Heal the poison and then we'll have her cough it up" she explained.

I let my hands hover over the wolf to heal the poison. Once that was healed, Gajeel walked over and did the same thing as he did with Cobra. The wolf coughed up the water in her lungs as well.

"Good. You boys clean up the water while we treat the other injuries" Porlyusica snapped. Both of them nodded.
