David's P.O.V

I was getting ready to go to Zane's party. I usually wouldn't go to a party if Nat wasn't going, but I figured that if I was to stay home alone while she went out with Shawn, I'd go crazy.

I finished getting dressed and then went over to spray some perfume when Natalie walked into my room.

She was wearing a red strapless top with tight black leather pants and some high heel boots. She had some makeup on but it wasn't too much and her hair was loose. She looked as beautiful as ever.

Oh how my blood boiled at the thought that Shawn was going to spend an entire evening with that.

"So, what do you think?" Nat softly asked with a smile.

"I think you should just ditch his ass and come party with us because holy shit do you look gorgeous and he doesn't deserve to see that," I replied, spraying a bit of perfume on before putting the bottle down.

I walked up to Natalie and placed my hands on her forearms, "Nat, if he even tries to do something you don't approve of I will..."

She cut me off by grabbing the side of my face softly, "Don't worry, Dave," She assured me, getting out my grasp and walking slightly to my drawer.

She grabbed a hair brush and walked back to me, "Let's fix that mop on your head."

I just laughed as she brushed my hair and fixed it. She ran her hands through it a few final times then she smiled, "Perfect."

"Thanks, Nat," I told her, walking out of the room and to the front door to put my shoes on.

She followed behind me and sat in the living room not too far away from me.

"So, how are you going to go? And where?" I asked.

She grabbed her phone and unlocked it, "The coffee shop a few blocks down from here, and he's going to pick me up," She replied, tapping on her phone screen.

"Keep me updated?" I questioned, standing up.

"Of course," She replied.

I smiled and gave her a slight wave before opening the door and walking out of the house.

I got in my car and started driving to the address that Zane had sent me.

The moment I got there, I saw chaos. Lights flickered from inside the mansion, the music was so loud, you could probably hear it from 4 blocks away, wasted people were stumbling in and out of the house, and let's not talk about the couple making love on the grass in front of the mansion.

I almost turned around and went back home, but I held myself together and walked inside the party.

Looking for Zane was like looking for a needle in a haystack. The place was crowded with drunk people, and there was more alcohol in the air than oxygen.

I walked around for a solid 20 minutes before I found someone I knew. Carly and Erin were in the kitchen, drinking. One more than the other of course.

Erin giggled as she took another sip from her glass. Yep, she was definitely wasted.

"Hey, girls," I yelled out to both of them as I approached them and leaned against the kitchen counter.

"Hey," Carly replied. She looked kinda tipsy, but I guessed that she was sober enough to be the one driving Erin back home tonight.

"Want a d...drink?" Erin asked, more like screamed, shoving a bottle of vodka in my face. I shook my head and slightly pushed her arm away.

I don't usually drink, and if I do, it wouldn't be much. I'd hate to get captured on a camera doing some really awful shit while drunk so I usually avoid it.

"Where's Natalie?" Carly asked, raising her voice so I could hear her over the music.

"Going out with a friend," I replied back. Carly looked confused but I guess she shrugged it off because even if she was to ask about it, it would be almost impossible for me to explain with all that music being played.

I looked at my phone to see if Natalie had texted me, but she didn't which really bummed me out. I was in no mood to party, I honestly should've stayed home.

Various thoughts of what could happen between Shawn and Natalie invaded my mind and I couldn't take it any longer, so I grabbed the bottle of vodka out of Erins hand.

Carly's eyes widened, she was taken back by my sudden actions. However, Erin just laughed, "Yeahhh, paartyy!!" She yelled.

I grabbed a cup from the counter and filled half of it, then chugged it down.

That wasn't enough.

I drank another, and was getting ready to drink again when Carly stopped me by placing her hand on the bottle and pushing it down.

"David, what the fuck? Slow down," She yelled over the music.

"Just let me be," I yelled back and grabbed the bottle again, filling my 3rd glass.

Carly just sighed and ran after Erin who ran into a the crowd of people in the living room.

I don't know how many glasses I had, because at the end of them, I was slowly losing track of the world.

All I know is that I danced, and danced, and forgot everything that my heart was going through.

The last thing I remember is jumping in the pool outside before I was pulled out by Zane and sent home in an uber.

Natalie's P.O.V

He never showed up.

I don't know why I'm even surprised at this point. I should've expected that. Shawn's been treating me like I don't exist for an entire year, why would I even believe that he would want to make things better.

I didn't even bother to text him because fuck it. David was right, I don't need a jerk like him to determine my worth for me.

All I knew is that Dave thought I was enough, and that's all that mattered to me.

I blocked Shawn's number, which is something I should've done almost a year ago. And then, I changed out of my outfit into some shorts and a clickbait hoodie.

I sat in the living room, watching a random movie on the tv before the doorbell rang.

I looked at the clock, it was almost 11 pm. David shouldn't be home right now, it's too early for a party to end.

Confused, I walked up to the door and opened it. A horrible odor of alcohol hit my nostrils as soon as the door was wide open and David stood there, covered from head to toe with water.

He looked awful and he was definitely drunk as fuck.

I was extremely shocked to see him like this, I couldn't even make out a proper sentence.

"I... If you were born deaf... What language would you think in?" David slurred heavily.
