Watching as he left, Blaine Anderson slumped back into the armchair, thinking.
His life had taken a drastic spin sometime a while ago. He'd lost the love of his life, his grades, and was now where he started. Dalton academy. Everything was like it'd never changed. And in a way it hadn't.
But then there was the ways it had changed.Firstly, he was in deep with Dave Karofsky. Being honest, he knew that it wasn't really love. He was fooling himself, and Dave. Because he was still longing to be with Kurt. Of course he was. Kurt was his everything, had been for so long.
But that was another thing that'd changed. Kurt seemed not to care. In a way, that was worse, because Kurt was putting his heart at risk. Whatever was going on between Kurt and Sebastian, wasn't good. Kurt obviously couldn't see it, but Blaine could. He couldn't comprehend how it had happened, how the two of them had made up, when Kurt had always hated Sebastian, and it was mutual for Sebastian against Kurt.
But something had changed. Something had made them friends. Blaine refused to be that something.
He'd told Kurt that he was the reason he was with Dave, and in a way he was. But Blaine didn't want to be the reason Kurt was with Sebastian. Because it was just wrong. Kurt belonged with someone better. The two of them, Kurt and Sebastian, didn't belong together. They belonged as far from each other as possible.
Blaine had seen how Sebastian looked at Kurt, how defensive he'd been. And it had confused him. When had it changed from hate, to love?
He sighed, getting up from the armchair, pacing back and forth. Dave had left for the afternoon, for some football game, so he had time to think. To plot how to get kurt safe. Because he realised that's what he wanted. What he needed. He didn't want Kurt with him, right now, but he wanted him away from Sebastian - he needed to protect Kurt, from Sebastian.Blaine had known the other for long enough to know that he was up to no good, and if he'd suddenly changed his tune, to try and persuade Kurt to.. to whatever... Blaine couldn't stand the thought. He didn't want to think of Kurt in any way, with Sebastian.
But what should he do?

Sitting in the Lima bean, Kurt was holding onto his coffee cup with one hand, with the other, attached to Sebastian's. A small smile was on his face, as he tried thinking what had happened.
***Their lips pressed lightly together, and the kiss only lasted a moment before both pulled away.
"I'm sorry.." Kurt muttered, despite having listened to everything Sebastian had just said.
The two words made Sebastian pull him back into a kiss, just as soft. But more sure. The first one had been nervous, and uncertain."So.. coffee." Kurt said, once their lips once again parted.
"Coffee."
Sebastian turned, buckling up again, before driving to the Lima bean, this time slower, his one hand resting on the steering wheel, the other one drifting to his lips, that were still tingling from having Kurts against them.
***
Kurt let out a breath.
That day had taken a turn - definitely for the better.
The small smile grew bigger, and only grew even more when he met Sebastian's eyes, and saw him looking at him with a look of pure curiosity and wonder.
