Kurt had thought the ache would disappear. But it stayed. And stayed. Even as time went on.
It hurt even more that Sebastian never wrote to him.
Mercedes had left again, leaving Kurt feeling lonelier than ever, even though he had a boyfriend who cared for him.

What made Kurt even sadder, was that he wasn't even sure why Sebastian had left. Something had just changed.
Their last meeting had been great. They'd been at his house, and had spent time just chatting and hugging. But then he'd left town, Blaine had come into the picture and Sebastian disappeared.

But Sebastian had said he was willing to be Kurts friend, hadnt he? So why did he leave? Why did he leave, so Kurt felt like he had no one to talk to?

Kurt couldn't wait for the glee club to finish championships, so he could get back to New York, and throw himself into work and school. Forget about everything for a while.

Kurt was shaken from his thoughts when mr. Schuester came in.
"Are you Okay? You seem down, Kurt." The old teacher sat down next to him, and Kurt was about to tell him how Sebastian had left, how they'd met and been drinking coffee, talking about everything, and how he felt so alone without him. But at the same moment Rachel and Blaine came in, and he didn't speak. He knew blaine would be upset.

And he cared. Of course he did. He didn't want another argument.
They were talking, Blaine and Rachel, and he let himself listen to their conversation without being in it, trying to take his mind off Sebastian smythe.
For a moment he forgot his all consuming thoughts of he, who he missed so bad, but the moment passed, and he once again remembered Sebastian's smell, and his voice. His face, and his smile. How he said he was on Kurts side.

And - his thoughts were cut off by a knock to the door.

The person opened the door, and the atmosphere in the room changed.

All feelings were mixed.
Rachel felt confusion.
Mr. Schuester felt like he was misplaced
Blaine felt a surge of annoyance and stepped closer to Kurt.

Kurt.

Kurt felt confusion for a moment, like the person in the doorway was a stranger. He felt anger, at having his heart shattered. He felt like his heart stopped, and was beating in his throat at the same time, he felt like tears were pressing. Tears both of sorrow and happiness, and mostly, he felt as if the world stood still when blue eyes finally found green, and they were shining with adoration at him.
In unbundled happiness, Kurt tore away from Blaine's arms that had wrapped protectively around him, and went straight for the taller man, arms wrapping tightly around him.

In return, strong arms wrapped around him, a nose burying in his hair.
A familiar smell of cologne and something that was just uniquely Sebastian entered through Kurts nostrils, and it felt like heaven.

"You're here."
