Y/N's POV
You were walking down the stairs of the abandoned hospital with Riley and Bozer helping you.
You felt incredibly week and dizzy, but you refused to leave without Mac. As you made your way into the ground floor, a big noise reached your ears. Like something or someone had just hit the ground. You looked at your friends and like they were reading your mind, they began to pick up the pace.
When you finally reached the lobby, you could see both Mac and Murdoc on the floor and while Jack cuffed him, you raced to your husband's side to see if he was okay.
"Mac? Mac, can you hear me?" You said after kneeling next to him.
He started to move and open his eyes. When he looked at you, it looked like things started to click back into place in his head.
"Y/N? Oh my God!! Are you okay?" He said while placing his hand on your cheek.
You smiled and struggled to hold back tears. You closed your eyes and leaned onto his hand, and when you finally opened your eyes, you noticed the gash next to his hairline.
"You're hurt!" You said, replacing your smile with a worried look.
"I'm fine, it's superficial"
"Mac! You need to get that looked at"
"Actually, you both need to be looked at. The ambulance is here" Riley said, cutting in and no one disagreed.
You were in your hospital bed after the doctors looked over Mac. They agreed to do his examination in your room so you could stay together.
"No sign of brain trauma or swelling. You cognitive skills are doing very well and you don't even have a concussion. I'd say you are very lucky, Mr MacGyver" his doctor finished the examination and went to get you an obstetrician.
Mac moved closer to your bed and sat down next to you.
"How are you feeling?"
"Better, after this IV they gave me"
You unconsciously reached for your belly and that didn't go unnoticed by Mac.
"I know you're worried and I am too, but let's try not to freak out until the doctor actually gives us something to freak out about okay?" He said as he held your hand.
"Easier said than done" you smirked and stared at your intertwined hands, too afraid that if you looked into his eyes, you wouldn't be able to hold it together anymore.
Right on cue, the doctor walks in holding some papers, you assumed were your labs.
"Hey, guys. So, I just wanna put you at ease right away. Your baby is alive and okay" both you and Mac release a breath you didn't know you were holding.
"Thankfully, the drugs used on you didn't have an affect on your baby. It's like your offender knew what to avoid. I do wanna keep you here untill at least tomorrow, give you some time to rest and recover from the dehydration. But other than that, you seem to be in great health" she finishes.
"Thank you, doctor" you say at the same time
"You're welcome. Now, rest up" she said, leaving you and Mac to yourselves.
"Oh my God, Mac" you finally let out all of the tears you've been holding back.
Mac stands up and just holds you while you cry. When you look at him, he holds your face in hands and whispers "We're okay, we're okay".
You've been in the hospital for a couple of hours, Mac sitting next to you in bed when the sound of chatter starts to get closer and closer to your room's door. You know exactly who it is.
Suddenly, the doors creeks open and Jack enters slowly with the rest of the team at his heel.
"Hey, guys! So Mac texted saying that everything was okay with you and the little one, and that you and the little man were ready to go home"
You chuckle "Yeah, but we can't. Everything is okay, but the doctor wants me to stay overnight just to make sure"
Everyone nodded and you turned to Mac and with a silent agreement between you two, you decided to give some good news for a change.
"And you're wrong, Jack" he just frowns at your comment before you continue.
"The little GIRL and I are ready to go home" you smile when the realization finally hits everyone.
"Oh my God!! It's a girl??? How long have you known? Do you have a name? What is it? Is she getting your last name or Mac's? I recommend yours"
I chuckle at the last part before Mac started clearing everything up.
"We found out last week, we do have a name and she's getting both our last names" he said while looked up smiling at him.
"You will find out her name when she's born, just like her! I'm not about to reveal all my cards" you finish
"Fair enough" Riley said, before continuing
"What a lucky little girl"
