tom's pov

another day passed by.

my feelings for that damn horned boy wearing a red hoodie hasn't changed one single bit. neither did his actions towards me changed too.

i slouched in my seat, currently in math class. the class was chatting while the poor teacher kept doing her job. i felt pity. no one gives a damn about this teacher trying to do her job, trying to teach these idiots.

"class dismissed!" i heard our math teacher say. then, her eyes were directed towards me. "but for you. mr. thompson, come to my office after school. you shouldn't sleep in class." i got flustered. i didn't even realized that i dozed off in class.

"are you going for lunch or are you going to starve yourself?" the teacher asked annoyingly. i groaned and shot up off of my seat and walked towards the cafeteria.

okay, i take that comment back about no one caring about her. because i seemingly dozed off for some reason, so that means i am not paying attention to her. i don't want to be a hypocrite.

i start my usual routine of getting food and walking to a non-occupied table. i successfully did the task with no one in my way so i started to rush quickly to a table.

but then some random idiot decides to slam down my tray, and it wasn't tord.

"god damn it" i mutter as the bully starts laughing at me. my eyes rolled even if i had no pupils.

"god damn it, eduardo!" someone shouted, i looked where the voice came from. it was from a boy wearing a green hoodie. "stop picking on people, a deal was a deal, isn't it?!"

he rolled his eyes as he started to begrudgingly walked away from me. the guy in the green hoodie came up to me.

"sorry about that . . . he's just salty that i beat him again at a contest. he even made a deal for it too." he apologized. "i'm really really sorry that you had to endure his bullying too."

i waved it off. "no problem, bullies don't bother me, kind of."

suddenly, the green hoodie person's eyes started to twinkle. "if you want to, you can join me at my table with a friend. don't worry, we don't bite!"

well, that was a nice feeling. that someone wanted you to sit with them. the feeling of being included.

"well, yeah. i'd like to!" i said, and edd blushed as he stared at me.

suddenly, a person who was wearing a purple hoodie with a green overcoat called green hoodie boy. "what's taking so long? edd! just let that person sit with us and eat!" then he pulled a mirror out of nowhere and started admiring himself.

"heh. classic matt." he chuckled.

"oh, i forgot to introduce myself." he said. "my name's edd, my friend's name is matt. yours is . . ?"

"tom."

"very well, tom!" he clapped happily. "welcome to our little, happy group! you'll fit in nicely."

and tom, in the first time of his life. smiled genuinely, as he finally had a true band of friends.
