'Did you warm up a little?' Jack asked, as I entered the living room. My wet hair hang as a mop around my face. 'Yeah.' I answered. 'You can come sit down you know.' Jack said, as he scooted aside to make room for me on the couch. I slowly walked up to him and sat down besides him. 'Here's a blanket to keep you warm.' Jack said, as he put it around my shoulders. 'Thanks, Jack.' I said, smiling. 'Would you like some hot coco, Finn?' Jack's mother asked, as she walked in with a tray of drinks and cookies. 'Yes, please.' I answered shyly. His mother put the tray on the small table in front of us. 'If anyone needs me, I'll be next door. The neighbours asked me to look at the tv.' She said, as she put on her coat. 'Now, I don't want you to go to sleep too late, so I want you guys asleep, or at least upstairs when I come back.' She said, pointing at the clock. 'Do you want to go upstairs? I have a tv there so we can watch a movie, but we can also talk about what's wrong - but only if you want to.' Jack said. 'Yeah, good idea.' I replied. I picked up the tray that stood on the table and followed Jack upstairs. We entered Jack's room, and I put the tray on his night table. 'Here, come sit.' Jack said, as he patted on his bed. I sat down on the edge of his bed and looked at the floor. 'Do you want to talk about what's wrong?' Jack asked, as he grabbed my chin and softly turned my face so I could look at him. 'So...while I was doing the dishes, I overheard my parents fighting. Turns out, my mother wants to get a divorce. I...I know that might be a stupid reason why I came all the way here, but...I felt helpless. Especially...especially when my dad called my mother a b...bitch. My mother just left the house without saying anything and I didn't know what to do. So I grabbed some money and drove to the first person I thought of...Which was you. I know, it's a stupid reason. You might have thought that there would have been a way worse thing going on, but this is it. I'm so sorry I have to bother you and your mom right now, bubba.' I said, while I started crying. 'Finn, please don't cry.' Jack said, as he pulled me into a hug. 'Everything will be fine. I promise. And don't worry, I don't think it's a stupid reason at all. I understand why you're upset, and I'm here for you bubba. I'll do anything for you to keep you safe and happy.' He said, as he pressed a small kiss on my hair. I pulled out of the hug and looked at the smaller boy. 'Thanks, for making me feel better, Jack. I don't know what I'd do without you.' I said, blushing at the ground. 'Here, drink something. That will calm you down.' Jack said, as he handed me the cup of hot chocolate. I took a small sip, before I put it back. 'So..what do you want to do?' Jack asked. 'Oh, uh...I don't mind. Whatever you wanna do.' I said. 'Well, are you tired or do you wanna watch something?' Jack asked, putting his hand over mine. 'Well, if I'm being honest-
Incoming call from Mom ❤️
'My mom is calling! I can't pick up, I just can't.' I said, throwing my phone on the ground. I waited for the call to go away, and after a while I heard a buzz. I slowly walked to my phone.

Mom ❤️: Where are you!?!?

I swallowed, before I replied.

Finn: I'm at Jack's house.
Mom ❤️: Did your father give you permission to go?! You know I don't want you going away without informing me first.
Finn: No, mom. Dad didn't give me permission. I'm sorry.
Mom ❤️: A sorry isn't enough, Finn Wolfhard.
Finn: I know..
Mom ❤️: You know what? Never mind. It isn't your fault. It's all your dad's fault. He should have kept an eye on you.
Finn: No, mom. Please don't put the blame on dad. It's my fault, I shouldn't have left.
Mom ❤️: You see, this is one of the main things I love about you so much. Your honesty. Your dad isn't too honest, though.
Finn: Could you please stop talking about dad?
Mom ❤️: Of course I will. The asshole isn't worth it.
Finn: Mom, stop!
Mom ❤️: I can't wait for the peace and quiet without your dad in our new home. Oh, what a perfect life. Just the three of us; You, your brother and me.
Finn: What...?
Mom ❤️: We will be moving very soon, Finn. Don't you worry I won't let you put up with the asshole any longer.

I let my phone slip out of my hands. My eyes began to fill up with tears, as I stared at the wall. I heard Jack's bed squeak, and before I knew it, Jack had come sit next to me. He threw his arms around me and held on tight. 'Ssshhh....it's okay...there there.' Jack hushed. I put my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes. 'W...we're moving away, Jack.' I said through my tears. 'What...? Where?' Jack asked. 'I....I don't know. She said we're going s...soon.' I said. 'I don't want to go away, Jack. I want my parents to stay together and I want to stay in the same house as I am in now!' I softly pulled away from the hug, to dry me eyes. 'I...I don't know what to say. I'm so sorry for you, bubba. If there is anything I can do, please tell me.' Jack said, also with tears in his eyes. 'Well...there is one thing you could do to make me feel better.' I said, blushing. 'What is it? I'll do anything.' He said, grabbing my hand. I counted to three. One...two...three. I closed my eyes and pressed a soft kiss on Jack's pink lips. I opened my eyes and began to tear up again. 'I...I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that.' I said, as I stood up and ran out of the room. All of a sudden, I felt a hand on my shoulder and I stopped running. Jack stood on his tippy toes and kissed me. I froze in shock, but soon closed my eyes and let Jack lead the way. I was scared, as I kissed him. This was my first kiss ever, and I didn't know what to do. We pulled away to catch our breath. 'That was my first kiss.' 'Mine too.'
