"Yes, everything went according to our plan." One of the dull voices spoke.
"That is very good." The second said."It wont be long before we can distribute the rumors that they are dead..."
"Rumors? I thought we were really killing them." The first one seamed a little confused.
"Oh, we will. Don't worry." The second started to laugh. "And of course, after having trained you properly, I'll let you get your throne back..."
"Thank you, uncle." The first voice said gratefully.
Uncle...?
Footsteps sounded, slowly they became quieter.
"Ah, Aiolos. You forgot something!"-
-Brother...? That can't be...He wouldn't..."(Y/n)! Now!" Fudo whisper yelled in my ear.
I turned to him.
I looked up at him a bit perplexed and noticed the disturbing and worried facial expression of Daichi.
I didn't knew how long I stood there and stared into the air, but it seemed long enough.
Fudo had his arm around me and kept pushing me away from the big painting that separated us from the throne room.
My lungs slowly started to burn. I didn't even noticed that I stopped breathing...
I let Fudo push me farther away, as suddenly an arrow a hole through the painting drilled and just missed us.We stared at the end of the arrow and slowly realized that we were discovered.
When I looked over my shoulder and saw Fudo's shocked facial expression, I also noticed a hand reaching out for him through the painting.
My heart jumped and before I was able to say something, I took his wrist and pulled his body towards me.
He looked a little confused backwards to see the same hand I saw.
A second hand came and tore open the thick paper.
The outlines of a dark shape became recognizable as it entered the hallway.
Unlike us, the person could see us exactly, as the beams of light from behind him donated enough brightness to see our faces."Ohh, we just talked about you." The man stated.
His voice, which was so familiar to me, made a cold shiver run down my spine.
That voice didn't bring good memories back, it reminded me of pain and loneliness.
"But I guess you heard it." The man came nearer.
Instinctively, Fudo put himself protectively in front of me.
We heard rustling from behind and a warm orange light approached from around the corner.
"Oh no..." Daichi mumbled.
After a short moment, three soldiers stood next to him, barring the exit.
"We are trapped." I mumbled to Fudo.
The one soldier, which held the torch, was the young guard from in front of my cell.
"Bring them to me." The dark shadow said while turning around and walk into the light. Two of the guards grabbed Daichi at his arms while the other one stormed to Fudo and me.
Again, Fudo stood protective in front of me.
"I will not allow that!" Fudo said as the soldier tried to grab him.
I hold his shoulder for a moment. "It's alright."
After turning around, I walked out of the hall into the throne room, followed by the guards, who dragged my brothers with them. The big room looked very different from my memories.
It still was majestic and elegant as it used to be:
From the doors, a green carpet ran through the entire room, matching the wallpaper color.
On the sides of the carpet stood long candlesticks, which matched the chandelier.
At the end of the room, you had to walk up a few steps to get to the throne.
I remember exactly that it was an iron throne, forged from the swords of all adversaries in our lands, as a sign of trust and peace.
Now the throne seamed like it was made out of gold and with a green upholstery.
Yet the room was much smaller than in my memories."Do you like it?" My head shot towards Sho as I got snapped out of my thoughts.
"No, not really. But we will change that back anyways..." I said with an arrogant and derogatory voice.
Sho lifted an eyebrow. "I guess someone forgot who I am."
"No, but someone thinks that it's time for a change..." I directly turned to him.
I felt a slight sting in my chest, in my heart, but it wasn't as bad as it used to be.
I was able to breathe normally, didn't have to bend down of pain and I didn't felt as weak as before.
"What-" Sho interrupted himself. "How?! The seal-"
Sho reached for me angrily but I stopped him by grabbing his wrist.
"The change has come." I told him while smiling.
