Merry Christmas, everyone! This chapter is full of feels and I apologize ahead of time if it gets you a little teary eyed. I know I cried a few times while writing this, so hopefully you find it as emotional as I did.

A blood curdling scream echoed down the halls of the boy's side of the dorm, Deku bursting out of his room with tears in his eyes and fear buzzing wildly in his veins. This wasn't right, this had to be a nightmare! He needed to wake up from this somehow! The freckled boy used the emergency stairs at the end of the hall and sprinted up to Sero's room, pounding on the door with enough strength to make it rattle, and quickly enough, Sero yanked the door open with a worried expression. Before a word could be said, Deku pushed into the room, wrapping his arms around the cellophane hero, holding on for dear life.

Sero had been woken up by the banging on his door, assuming that there was some kind of emergency, though he hadn't expected to be nearly tackled as soon as he opened the door. He stumbled back a couple of steps, confused about why he was suddenly being hugged, but his confusion was quickly turning into anxiety and he found himself squirming and frantically trying to pry Deku off of him. He didn't want to be touched right now, he wasn't ready to deal with people for the day and he hadn't even been given any explanation as to what was going on. After not getting Deku to budge, he resorted to using his quirk to restrain the other boy, scrambling to get on top of his bed to get some distance.
"Stay there, Deku." Sero warned, back pressed against the wall. "Please don't touch me right now, I can't handle it, just tell me what's going on."

Deku groaned as he struggled against the tape locked around him at the moment, almost looking betrayed before he had a moment of clarity as to why Sero was acting like this when he needed help. He had forgotten that Sero sometimes had issues with being hugged.
"I'm sorry, I-I-I'm sorry, Sero!" He stammered. "I don't....don't know what's happening. Kirishima was there, and...and then he just disappeared! He turned into ash! I kissed him and he just- !"

Deku could feel the bit of ash on his lips as he spoke, taste it on his tongue, and the feeling immediately made him sick to his stomach. His breathing quickened and he squirmed over to the trash bin in Sero's room, retching into it with a whimper.

Sero had no idea what was happening but as soon as the other boy had moved to the trash bin, he hesitantly got off his bed and approached, keeping a few feet of distance between them.
"Deku.....are you okay?" He asked cautiously.
He was still shaken with anxiety but the worry he had for his friend cut through a majority of it.

Deku retched again, shaking his head afterward and spitting the foul taste out of his mouth.
"No.......no, no, no, no...." he mumbled sickly, staying hunched over the trash bin.
He couldn't push himself to speak anymore, feeling like his stomach would turn again if he did, so he stayed quiet, just panting and occasionally spitting to try to get the rancid taste of bile to go away.

Sero carefully released Deku from the small amount of tape wrapped around him, stepping back immediately afterward to regain space between them. As much as he wished he could just sit beside Deku and try to soothe him, his own body was rejecting being near another person at the moment.
"Deku, stay here, I'm going to get Kaminari." He said, edging his way to the door.
Getting a cough and slight nod from the freckled boy, Sero headed out of the room and went to get help.

Deku stayed rooted to his spot, hunched over Sero's trash bin like some poor pregnant woman with a bad case of morning sickness. Everything felt wrong, his head was a fogged up mess, confused and afraid. What was going on? This was all some freaky nightmare, right? He couldn't seem to wake up from whatever this was, even as he shakily dug his nails into the palm of his hand, hard enough to draw blood. No....this wasn't a nightmare at all, this was all real, all unbelievably real. The freckled boy groaned as he lifted his head slowly, sitting back on his knees and staring blankly at the bleeding crescent moon shapes on his palm. If this was real, then what happened to Kirishima? How did he end up.....Deku didn't even want to finish thinking that thought, feeling overwhelmed again.
