Deku groaned as he woke up, something having roused him from sleep. A quick glance at his alarm clock told him that it was just barely past five in the morning, but he soon realized that a gentle knocking on his door was what had woken him up.

"Coming...." Deku mumbled, tiredly slipping out of bed and padding over to the door.

Sleepy green eyes forced themselves to stay open as he opened his door, peering through the crack at whoever it was that had decided to visit him so early.

"Good morning, Midoriya, I apologize if this is a bad time." Tokoyami said softly, hands in his pockets as he stood in front of the door, Dark Shadow peering at Deku over the bird headed hero's shoulder.

"Come in..." Deku mumbled, opening the door wide enough to allow the other inside.

Tokoyami entered the room silently, looking a tad bit sheepish as Deku trudged back to his bed and flopped down on it. It didn't help that Deku was only wearing a large grey T-shirt and white panties, which Tokoyami could see barely peeking out from under the T-shirt, but he didn't say anything, knowing that it wasn't intentional for them to show.

"I take it you got my letter?" Tokoyami asked, cautiously stepping closer to the bed, but still giving the other space out of respect.

"Mhm...." Deku hummed, turning his head to look at Tokoyami; his hair was a mess with bedhead, but he didn't care, it was a wild mess half the time anyway. "You wanted to take me out to dinner, right? 'M not sure how long I'm going to be a girl, I might turn back to normal before we get the chance to actually go out somewhere, so you'll have to settle with some other kind of date."

"Are you agreeing to going out with me?" Tokoyami asked, a clear tone of surprise in his voice.

"You're a nice guy, I might as well give you a chance while this lasts." Deku replied. "Even if you only like this version of me, I'm not going to feel insulted..."

Deku scooted over on his bed and patted the empty spot in front of him lazily.

"C'mere and cuddle with me." he yawned, closing his eyes for a brief moment before looking to Tokoyami once again.

Tokoyami seemed hesitant, feathers ruffled slightly as he toed his shoes off and sat at the edge of the bed. Seeing Deku close his eyes again, he slowly laid down and looped an arm around Deku's waist; he wasn't sure what was safe to do and what wasn't, so he kept his hand respectfully at the small of Deku's back, leaving a space between their bodies.

Deku curled closer, nuzzling his head under Tokoyami's beak and getting comfortable, curled against the bird hero's chest. He wanted more sleep, and if a cuddle date served them both well, then he would take it; he'd get the sleep he wanted and Tokoyami would get a date, it was a win-win situation.

"Cuddling forms a bond between people..." Deku mumbled in a tired explanation. "So even if we aren't talking, we're still bonding, kind of like how wolves imprint on each other, but less intimate."

Tokoyami nodded, understanding what the other meant, but he also knew that Deku was still not fully awake and wanted to get more sleep. He knew that he'd been a little rude by coming to see Deku so early, but he needed to see the sweet face that had plagued his dreams and even had Dark Shadow excited. Tokoyami wasn't sure just how much he could take of Dark Shadow poking and prodding him to make a move, but he was going to be respectful and participate in  this cuddle date as well behaved as possible. Dark Shadow was everything wild in Tokoyami, and Tokoyami wasn't about to let it reign over his actions if he could help it; he was going to treat Deku right and show Dark Shadow that being a gentleman was the better way to go about things.
