The next week didn't go well for Summer, or anyone for that matter. When Summer didn't get very fatigued during training, the other recruits got suspicious and decided to try and forcefully bring Summer down to their level in training. They cornered him in a building and started beating him up, and they probably would've put Summer out of commission for good if one of the officers hadn't stopped them.

"What's going on here? Why is this station's top recruit laying on the floor as a bloodied mess?" The officer asked the other recruits. They all looked at the officer, then glanced down at Summer.

"Sir, we were sick of being shown up daily by this know-it-all wanna-be. So we decided to bring him down to our level. He should be just as pained as all of us when training is done for the day!" A recruit told him, finally showing a bit of a good person. Whatever a good person could be for what he had done. The officer brought the recruits to his office, and were all given a stern talking to about why Summer didn't get as fatigued as them, then 2 of the 5 were removed from training for refusing to apologize to both Summer and the officer. Summer got his 3 apologies, accepted them in their turn, then continued on with his day in the infirmary. He missed 2 days of training, returning only because he refused to miss any more, then made up his missed training easily.

"Welcome back, Summer." Spitfire said calmly as he joined the line of recruits who were prepared for the day's training.

"Glad to be back, Ma'am." He told her, a grin on his face.
