Well, I've got some time to kill. Might as well use it. Summer told himself. He turned and trotted in the opposite direction of the castle, and made his way to anywhere to get food. His breakfast hadn't really filled him, and he needed something else to eat. The first place he found that gave food was an Apple cart ran by a mare with Yellow hair and orange skin. "Howdy there! I'm Applejack! Wanna buy yourself an apple or two?" The mare asked Summer.
"Uh, sure. One apple and one apple fritter." He told her.
"Comin' right up!" She exclaimed excitedly before digging around in her cart for what he'd asked for.
"You haven't had much business today, have you? You seem rather glad I stopped by and got something." He pointed out. Applejack looked at him, a hint of sadness visible in her green eyes.
"Honestly, us Apples really haven't had much business anywhere recently. Ponyville, Canterlot, even Apploosa has been lacking any work. We sure would love having some help spreading the word about our business, get us a few routine customers. It's not like our food is bad, right?" She asked him as she handed him his fritter. He bit into it and immediately sparked up with delight.
"These are amazing! I've never tasted anything like it, and I love it!" He said, and saw she returned his delight.
"Would you mind sending a few ponies our way?" She asked him.
He smiled. "I'd love to." He said, turning and calling his thanks before trotting away.
Summer finished his fritter, scraping the crumbs from his wing. Those really are amazing. But who to reccomend them to? He thought to himself before seeing a familiar pink pony from the corner of his vision. "Roxy!" He called to her, running over.
"Hi Summer! How are you?" She asked him, embracing him in a friendly hug.
"I'm alright. Meeting up with Bluebell later. You wanna tag along?" He asked, scooting back.
"Sure." She said simply.
"Alright, but before we do, there's this apple stand I saw a little while ago and they asked me to bring people to their stand, since they're super low in business. You up to checking it out?" He knew with her kind nature, she'd want to, if not to buy something then just to look and help where she could.
"Of course I'm up for it!" Came her inevitable answer.
Summer nodded and, smirking, turned and led the way to Applejack's stand.
