About a week later, the order came in to send me to Princess Twilight's company to fight. I said my goodbye's, got on the chariot, and left for the battlefront. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly. I was greeted by Twilight herself, and she greeted me the way I expected the Princess of Friendship to greet someone. She approached me, a smile on her face and her gaze warm.
"Summer Flare! I've heard many great things about you, and I'm excited to fight alongside you." She said when she was only a few feet away from me.
"It's an honor to be here, Princess." I replied.
"I do apologize for the way Rainbow Dash treats her soldiers. She takes this very seriously, and sometimes that clouds her judgement on how to actually treat ponies. She does want what's best for Equestria." Twilight told me as we started walking.
"I believe that. I just can't stand how she does it, which is what pushed me to switch to your command. I'm hoping that being here will be better than being there." I told her.
"I do, too." She said as we arrived at the barracks. "You know the drill, Summer. Keep personal stuff here, otherwise this is just for sleeping." She informed me.
"Yeah." I said simply. She walked away, and I entered the barracks. It was pretty late, and I was tired, so I flopped down and fell asleep near instantly, thanking everyone I knew for this opportunity.
